We aren't going into the season 'without' a sponsor and we have more hope than when Jim & Co. took over with Hankook now on board. Can't wait for the footy to start so pessimists like yourself can start sticking knives into players for their poor performances, rather instead of sticking knives into people on the board who are trying desperately to turn things around, unlike yourself.

LOL. Just as long as it's not, 'Such as Life"......you might be interpreted as a Eagles or Tiger supporter. How would I celebrate? Well, I wouldn't be at work for a week either. After attending all the celebrations possible with other fellow mfc supporters - wherever that might be (ie Bubbledome, the 'G', the Junction or Casey fields), I'd watch it again and again with copious amounts of fluid intake, the amber kind - followed by a bottle or two of red or a bourbon or two. Just to let it all sink-in that we won it! So I can re-live it. Then, the following week might have to mirror the first. It's also fair to say I'd be too intoxicated to communicate on this forum during this period.

When you weigh up what the club has achieved and under the circumstances they've endured, a $2.1 million dollar sponsorship for 3 years is not a 'very poor performance' regarding sponsorship. Expiry dates on sponsorship deals are irrelevant IMO, the bottom line is the length of the sponsorship and how much. So what if the Bulldogs 'Lease Plan' expired on Dec 31st....

Also attended with my kids. Got some rides in before 11am also. I must say, it was well organised and well attended I thought. Players scattered all over Luna Park for autograph hunters. Robbie Flower was kept busy - probably had the longest queue at one stage after the presentation of jumpers to players. You couldn't move at that time when DB was announcing them onto the stage (in particular between the stage and the tram). Geez, Chooka's new look will get some discussion in the weeks ahead. Different. Must say, all the boys obliged happily for photo's and autographs with my kids. J.Rivers*, J.Mac, B.Milller, A. Wonaemirri, B.Moloney, C.Bruce and even C.Sylvia and J.Spencer were first class. (I'm sure all the players were). After lining up for some autographs, the rides for the kids soon took priority, but it was a great morning (day). Well done mfc. * = top bloke. edit: - intersetingly DB emphasised when 'Juice' took the stage, of Juice's performances of late, that he expects to see more of that on a consistent basis for the teams sake. (Words of...to the effect)

I'd take Garland myself between the two. I'd also have Grimes with some extra cash. With games, Grimes' price should go north.

Nice one from the 3-point line...swish...apologies for using basketball terminology in a footy forum. edit: Should be - 6 points.

They had all summer to organise a good footy orientated entertainment show - minus Trevor Marmalade, and they served up that tripe. On many occassions they filled in air time with wasteful banter amongst themselves - which only seemed to amuse themselves and not the viewers. 2/10 in my opinion. And that is being generous. The 2 pts is for the segment "under the Pump!"

A little Rogue. Definitely a bit of hot streak in him, which is the competitor I like to see. He reminds me a little of someone else.........Justin Leppitsch of Brisbane Lions ilk. Is that a good look-a-like....?

Precautionary measure no doubt.

He does. Awesome. Sums it up. Well done to the leadership group led by J.Mac, swift decision and no further comment needed. The next one might well be "the" straw.....

IMHO I thought whilst Gilchrist had some faults with his keeping, he was a handy keeper. I've seen Haddin a fair bit now, and he seems to me to be making as many errors, if not more... than Gilchrist. He's definitely handy with the bat on the flipside Haddin, I'll give him that.

One wears red & blue, the other yellow and black. One is 151 years old, the other 101 years old. One has a good core of supporters who remain loyal, the other teams supporters jump on big time when they're on song to finish 9th!

Great news, thankyou Hankook. Looking at new tyres soon, certainly interested in where to get them....keep in touch. Go Dees!

Now that there is a win under the belt, albeit against Brisbane in Cairns. I'm just hoping for no injuries this weekend.

clap, clap, clap..................(round of applause).........well said!

Yes. Very important. A round 1 win could result in another 15,000 Melbourne supporters for the following week against Collingwood. That's how fickle some mfc supporters are...unfortunately
-
Yes. Sums it up perfectly.

Can he what! Such a level head for 20yo. What a find after so many BIG retirements. Not sure about views or reports on his captaincy potential, but I would rather him than M.Clarke in the future.

The batting track now has gremlins in it. Aussies in a good position. The referral system has teething problems too.
-
Carlton fans also rate recycling at VISY now too.

Wallace did not have a "great list." FFS.......give me strength!

On 'average' I would 'guess-timate' approx. 1,000-2,000, maybe more depending upon whether a home or away fixture.

I am a bit sceptical as to where the 25 commando's on guard for the Sri Lankan team / Umpires convoy went, once the shooting started. That is a major worry. Let alone the attack. This may have been a "very, very sad" time for Sri Lankan & International Cricket, had the policeman not removed the bus driver from the drivers seat and driven to Gaddafi Stadium. Sometimes....I just get very angry when news like this comes out..
