haha. Good stuff. Alright, we're on. We'll see June 30, 2009. The Mfc will be the winner! I like it. edit: - And just to show you how confident my predicted tally of 31,565 is, if I get 'within' 500 either way (500 less or 500 more of 'MY' predicted tally), I'll buy another 2 x Demon Heartland memberships for 2010. (ie. between 31,065>32,065)

"IF" Hayden is given his marching orders for the Boxing day Test in Melbourne, don't be surprised if Hughes for NSW gets a gig ahead of Rogers/Klinger/Jaques(inj).
-
Very good question I_A_N. No it does not count towards the tally.

I was also pleasantly surprised. Although The Filth also had a big picture of their new leadership group headed by Nick Maxwell their new captain. I think it was Redleg who posted earlier this week that the HUN look after the Pies. Redleg is right. Since the end of the season, the Pies have been in the HUN more than anyone else. Even after the draft, they were quick to display their picks including Sidebottom, etc. Then again earlier this week or weekend with their top 2 picks on leadership material. WIth a massive coloured pic. I hope when the Dees announce they're new captain tomorrow, we get big time exposure in Saturday's papers.... With respect to the Age, our sponsor, Mfc should get more exposure. IMO, lately, there has been more articles on the Dees in the HUN than the Age - in particular with respect to our PSD and rookies. Although, I must say in all fairness, the day after the NDraft the Age did give us a decent run.

More often than not, in NAB Cup games upsets occur. I doubt Hawthorn will be fielding a full strong list in Rd 1 of the NAB cup. Melbourne on the other hand will want to present well for its fans and its "new sponsors/partnerships". An earlier start to the pre-season and good preparation IMO will ensure Melbourne puts in a strong list for their opener. I think it will be close, and it would not surprise me at all if the Dees come up trumps over the Hawks.

Or did we think that of Jason Ball and Darren Jolly in 2005 for Sydney?
-
Roost It, 38,000 ? I doubt that very much. I will stick to my prediction earlier, 31,565.
-
Australia all out. 375. If Hayden fails 2nd innings, I'm not so sure he's an absolute shoo-in come Boxing Day, regardless if the Aussies win. A draw looks more likely by the way as the pitch is a road in Perth.

Personally I didn't find it offensive at all. Others may differ.... Like your edited version. haha. I'd go to Timbuktoo.
-
He signed on for 3 years.

Fwiw I'm a MCC/MFC member Monty and I'd go to Casey. I can also understand if someone doesn't want to venture out to Casey because of personal reasons, they're entitled to do what they want to do. With regard to the long room.....that's a little childish.

Correct. Discussion regarding this in in the "Captaincy Thread" - here's a quick link: - CAPTAINCY POLL THREAD

I'd travel by train too if I wanted to or needed to. I'd prefer to drive myself, to reduce the travel time.

I thought this too for a nanosecond. But if Jack is going to be the next Captain I would of thought that would not happen until he's at least 21yo. (Which would make him one of if not the youngest captains of all time). Therefore the next 3-4 years we need a captain or dare I say it co-captains in the interim. Would J.McDonald and/or Cameron Bruce last this long? Definitely not J.Mac and doubtful (whilst possible) Bruce would last another 4 years. The heirarchy either decide on a new Captain with the vision of this person being Captain for a significant period of time, or they bite the bullet and continue with Co-captains or one Captain (ie McDonald or Bruce) in 2009, to be revised at the end of 2009. Let's remember for the last 17 years the Melbourne Football club has had 3 well served Captains in Garry Lyon, Todd Viney and David Neitz.

You might be right. I heard this morning (SEN) that it was 'known' said the host, can't remember his name - it may have been Jason Richardson - that this will be Haydo's last test series or test series in Australia, with an announcement expected sometime during the series. From what I gather this piece is "unconfirmed." So, just take it as gospel at this stage.
-
Correct. Confused. You don't make sense, and I'm Sam Kekovich.
-
Bails really looks the part in those surrounds. Give the man a rod!
-
Announcement expected tomorrow. Reading the article you posted Nugget, it seems that McDonald and/or Bruce are the front runners...... Brock not mentioned, hopefully the clean Mansfield air can clears their minds to make the best decision for the club.
-
From what I've heard too...it seems to be a common theme ..... a very good pick up. Bring it on Jurrah.
-
These stats don't really tell the real story. Miller has spent a fair amount of games down back. On the likes of Barry Hall, J.Brown, etc. I don't think Fisher has done that. Fwiw, I don't consider Brad Fisher a "key forward" anyway. He doesn't hold a "Key post" position in his side for a start.
-
Interesting post 'the fork'. As you mentioned there must be plenty of room in those remote areas. As evidenced by the 'nearby' community thats 150kms away. Hopefully there will be a Demon contingent visit one of these communities with Jurrah in the future. Demonland/Demonology v Nyirrpi Demons anyone?
-
Fwiw I've heard/read anywhere between 50 and 80. He missed the ND because a mix-up of his paperwork.
-
Well said Mick. edit: - and for that matter AOB and Nasher.
-
How Phil Jaques wishes he was not injured right now. Hayden, the fat lady is clearing her throat. Game is over at the G. Rogers wasn't able to inflict much damage on WA thanks to some good VICS bowling.

They have picked up a former champion, who faces an uphill battle to get fit at the age of 31 after a year off, and only a handful of games in 2 years. Cousins is well and truly behind the eight ball compared to his new teammates. Will be 32 next year, and comes to Richmond with a truck load of baggage and badly needed & costly resources and exposure to outside influences and pressure by the media, just waiting for Ben to spit on the side walk, have you weighed up the cons JJC? IMO, Gary March and Terry Wallace have made their own bed at Tigerland. Melbourne made the correct decision, on the back of their current predicament, and the path the Mfc has taken.
