Fair enough, but why has this come out now? Is the Footy club just wanting to signal their intentions to the AFL now? Or has some media hound dog sniffed out this case?
-
It's a she. You beat me to it. I agree. I thought T Mac might of got a go this week, just a sneaking suspicion that's all. We'll soon find out anyway. He still might (could be a third change) although Chip might have recovered well. Look for the emergencies.

That sucks.....looks like foxtel will be cranked up again on Saturday with a few beverages. Freak, here's some choices: - Sign up for Foxtel. They've got a deal on IQ going right now, incl. free installation. Pay around $70-80 a month after that and watch all the replays you want. Or, go to your nearest local. Or better check out the locals who have got it on, then determine which has the biggest screen with the smallest crowd. :D Or, fly to the Gold Coast. Or, spend a fortune on installations on upgrades for your computer/hard drive. Your choice. PS. I thought from some of your posts you'd seen the Melb v Haw game...

Robbo is not injured.

Thanks deanox. What we don't want is something like this - as you say - to "destroy the fabric of the competition as we know". On a lighter note. Can you imagine the push for 'FA' among the Richmond players at the moment. Perhaps the likes of AFLPA CEO Brendan Gale and Joel Bowden are looking after the interests of those players at Richmond, who are trying to kick down the door.....

Update: 28/5/2009: - 1. Hawthorn 52,052 2. Adelaide 48,720 3. West Coast 47,728 4. Collingwood 44,634 5. Carlton 41,355 6. Essendon 40,000^ 7. Richmond 36,589 8. Geelong 36,286 9. Fremantle 36,000 (approx.) 10. St Kilda 31,088 11.Melbourne 30,938 12. North Melbourne 29,772 13. Western Bulldogs 29,681 14. Port Adelaide 28,333 15. Sydney Swans 27,000 (approx.) 16. Brisbane 25,735 Updates: - 1/ Hawks have surpassed 52,000 in a canter 2/ Geelong have moved into the top 8, until such time we can get confirmation of Fremantle's membership tally. 3/ The likes of Collingwood and Carlton have crept up a couple of hundred each. Suspect Bumbers have increased since their 40,000 announcement. 4/ St.kilda haven't updated since last week, we've trimmed the margin back at the Dees - Perhaps a win over the Saints could help us knock them off! 5/ Roos have jumped the Dogs again until the next update from the Kennel. 6/ Port Adel went backwards for some reason. they're department must of mis-calculated. (from 29K+ back to 28,333)? 7/ No word from Swans 8. Lions had a small increase. Next update will be after the QB weekend.

I agree Nathan Jones is best at the latter situation...when the ball is in a contested situation, although I might add, when our team has the ball he does work off the ball to create an opportunity by finding space for his teammates. I think Moloney also had this problem, I think Jones is working hard to rectify this by learning of how to dispose of it when the heat is on by learning to be strong in his legs and hold his ground, also by ensuring his hands are free (much like Voss did well). Agree. I wouldn't BRFE, i agree with Nasher, he can work on them whilst playing AFL, as there is really no one better waiting in the wings at Casey.

I thought the same initially, until I heard 'Chip' had been seen at a gathering, having pulled up a little 'ginger' with regard to his ankle. He might still come up for this week. But if they want to take a team - all 100% ready to go..... so I voted T Mac. Just a hunch...

That's a good suggestion. Obviously there is still alot of water to pass under the bridge, but if the club can negotiate the Darwin games and drumming up support in the top end, in return for a better home game fixture including TV exposure (ie Friday, Staurday fixtures) as well as less interstate games, I would be more positive towards this campaign. edited.

I'm not up to speed with this Free Agency movement. Just wondering if someone could help, or if someone can explain the changes to the system if implemented. You say the salary cap will be hard to police. From my vague view on the topic, what is the use of having a salary cap then, once FA is introduced? Why is there such a push for it to come in straight after the league becomes 18 clubs? I'm not against change, because sometimes change is for the good. However, when weighing up that our club Melbournefc, decided to to take short term pain (ie just look at how we've drafted) for long term gain, taking into account our financial position. Are we in a inferior position at this point in time with respect to free agency? Will free agency favour the stronger financial clubs in terms of player movement come 2012-13? Why the need for free agency? Why the push for it when the AFL National Competition landscape is expanding? Why can't they negotiate for inclusion 5 years after the 18th team has entered the comp? Ie 2018 as a starting point. IMO, there seems to be alot of uncertainty with not only West Sydney, but the AFLPA's push for better player movement through Free Agency.

Personally, I would like to see that game at the 'G'. <_< You could have an Indigenous Round with Port Adelaide in NT.

.......The Sound of Crickets...........seriously though a "flash mob in trench coats?" - sounds like something out of Underbelly!!

Russell Robertson was just on fox sports news dressed in full kit. Said he was embarrassed re his game on sunday when he unnecessarily played on. Felt like digging a hole. Said every person he has spoken to since game has mentioned it. He cant wait for saturday night vs StKilda.

6 more sleeps until meeting. Thanks for that link casey scorp. I really liked Chris Connollys quote. "100% confident"

Last year that amount of entries would have resulted in a score of 150 plus for the Hawks. We are getting closer.
-
I thought the obvious would be Jack Watts. Although I voted Tom McNamara. Second year player, which Bailey might give a go. Could be just around the corner too.
-
Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Quite clearly inaccurate!!

Indeed.
