It's in good hands WYL :D We have a monopoly on oil. Frequent flyers to Dubai and Abu dhabi keep clicking over, ..... . Just wish I had the same amount of frequent flyers. <_<
-
Sheesh, wish I was as confident as you in this regard.

Keeps going ^^ PS. Unfortunately St.Kilda passed us and is now 30,851

Good question deanox, considering Healey and Jurrah had 14 between them, yet there were only 12 goals kicked for Casey Reserves. Little confusing. Daniel Bell - 14 Assists. What, does it include shepherds or something?

JJC, it seems you are having trouble quoting replies. Either press 'quote' or 'reply' icons at the post you are replying to, then type your response underneath the quote. Then Add reply. It should look cleaner than it currently is for you.

Why not look at this at the mid-season break split round? Why does it have to be 'only' during july/august? I agree with GNF.

Try not to take me out of context next time. The start of the sentence said, "If the board......." It was meant to be an example of what might occur.

If Ronaldo leaves.....we'll have plenty of cash to splash around for the quartet-repeat title....

No I don't think it's blind either. It's possible. Add to that list you've posted, the likes of Blease, Strauss, Bail & Jurrah whom we haven't even seen yet. I recall Brereton - of all people - talking on radio (I think SEN), prior to the Hawthorn game Round 1 (last year; 2008). He stated how long it would take Melbourne under the guidance of a new coach, new game plan. In his opinion it would take at least a year and a half for the team of youngsters to become fine tuned to the game plan, which he even described at the time was a high possession, high risk game plan under Bailey. He also referred to how long it had taken Clarkson and his players. 12 games next year; it's definitely possible rpfc.

Franklin is due for a big game. If Garland was available, I'd imagine he'd be the man. Frawley could be an inclusion if passed fit, he's playing much better and would be interesting to see him be opposed to Franklin. Martin could be it if Frawley is not in. He covers the ground very quick, as does Franklin. I'm tipping Warnock for Roughead. Rioli the magician. Wheels could be the man for him. Maybe Bennell if in. Your thoughts?

Has it made a dent in their sales figures?

Of course Wallace will try and win. His career depends on it, from his point of view. If the board sit back now and let him coach for the rest of the season, and watch Wallace win four of the next 8 games, and they finish say 8 and 14 and miss finals. They will have lost ground. They will have cheated their members in failing to miss a prime opportunity in the start of their rebuilding phase. Ie. 1st or 2nd pick in the last uncompromised draft for some time. Better to finish him up now, cut their losses. And be first in line for a new coach. With so many coaches coming out of contract this year, they should make the move now.

What came out yesterday in the "meeting" is he has the support of the players. Senior players were also not happy with Mitch Morton not adhering to team rules. I'd expect Morton to be dropped this week. If not, they've lost the plot entirely at Punt Rd.
-
Not so sure. Only if they've made a collective decision at the club behind closed doors......that being the "rebuilding path"....would they challenge for 16th as strange as it might seem. Maybe they are just too stubborn to realise of where their list is at...(take note Craig Cameron).....and they (incl Wallet) quite unbelievably, are still aiming for a finals spot until mathematically impossible. If the latter is true, from a Melbournefc perspective (and majority of Demonlanders perspective (it seems)), the RFC viewing is good. edit: - Enforcer25, Why would Wallace entertain on staying on as coach to finish last anyway?
-
To the Richmond man: - "That's the problem with Richmond. Unless you've got stability within the club, you can forget about winning." Good article. I agree with Dudley.

I wish he'd create some other 'Hammerhead' reality footy programme or go over to the USA and get lost for a few years following Ben Graham and Saverio Rocca's NFL careers. I thought the way he delivered the spray to Wilson was pathetic and more embarrassing for himself than Wilson, despite it being harsh.

Good observation. Has come on in leaps and bounds this season. You would think he'd be in the first half-a-dozen picked now. Such is he's form. Yes. very, very interesting. ALthough he did make the emergencies. Perhaps all the more reason for a new thread? "Is McDonald part of our best 22?" - If we could peel away the captaincy. Some valid points you've made here sylvinator. Wheatley's injuries are doing him no favours. However, there is still plenty of season left.
-
Don't like our chances, but I'd take the Cotch. edit: - In answer to the threads question, the likes of Stynes, Schwab & Connolly can keep on keeping on what they are doing. They are working hard off the field to set things on the right track. It would be nice to hear a decision re: Casey and news updates regarding our training base in Melbourne though. But I'm sure this is still in progress. I'm sure they can do it. Ie. Lead us on the path to success. Not so sure about an A grader, and whether we have plenty of cash to splash around either.

Big tick here. Mark Robinson has acknowledged he was proven wrong - SEN. His source may have been Wallace himself, prior to the meeting. Anyway back to the debacle that is the Tigers. They're having a mid-season review (which is just a couple of weeks away!; the coaching position is part of this). What a joke! Agree. James Hird has stated, Wallace's position is untenable. Sure does.

Agree 100%. Probably did sniff out any last hope Terry had of continuing, no matter how unlikely. Having said that, he's had 5 years, along with some assistants. Failed dismally.
-
Hazy, you can do better than that. I think this thread is just about done.
-
Yes, clearly he hasn't seen Miller all season. Those missed set shots at goal have been a regular occurrence.
-
Apologies. Re-read my edited post re: my opening question. (Bold).

Indeed.
