Hopefully they can get up over the Bulldogs for him . But you can bet your bottom dollar the Bulldogs from Smorgon down, will not want to lose to Wallace.

*BUMP* News Flash.... D-Day arrives for Wallace

June 30. Guess what, we've broken through 31,000 mark!! :D 31,005^

Thanks for the in depth write ups WJ. At half time, I thought you were in for birthday gift. However, not only did the Dees run out of legs, but some costly, and I mean costly turnovers through bad hand balling and skill errors soon became over bearing as the Saints applied score board pressure. Had the Saints kicked straighter it would have turned 'ugly' after such a promising 1st half of football.

That was interesting. It also confirms to me that some journalists rely heavily on stats racked up by midfielders, and overlook the likes of not only Jamar's good work, but that of Jared Rivers down back too. Not surprising really. I also thought Frawley was handy too.

Agree. Patience is a virtue.

That's a big call. There has been alot of good players for Mfc. In terms of number of games and consecutive games, yes. Are you aware of who played for the club prior to 1980? Ronald Dale Barassi, Norm Smith, Robbie Flower, Hassa Mann, David Neitz..........Stynes is up there, but its arguable regarding top 5.

Harsh. Since when has 'nipple' meant useless? I've always found them handy and useful. Sensitive but useful.

West Coast will win more than 4. Just enjoy the footy and watch our improvement for this season.

That was gold. I am inclined to agree with dandeemans comments on Watts. Firstly I think they are managing him well. By playing him on the wing they are improving his aerobic capacity and he wont be getting that by playing at full forward. Some fans must remember he is still catching up on the rest of his teammates in terms of fitness block requirements.

Having spent a fair bit of time on the bench its a good indicator that Miller might have the Scorpions jumper on next week. Will be interesting for Newton Robbo and Watts at Casey.

Thanks for that WJ. I share the same sentiments expressed by other posters in this thread. You described the night well. Have a good night tonight. Go Dees! What happened on foxtel was they were interviewing dean bailey regarding stoppages in particular centre bounce clearances and how the hawks midfield set up and what melbournefc plan to counteract that. This all before the game. Which is why the likes of Clarkson and Hardwick would have been a little surprised.

If i had a preference it would be Hawthorn because of the rivalry we had in the 80's early 90's which the hawks had the better of mainly due to the 88 premiership. I hated them with a passion and still do. Bombers would be next for me. Ironic these two were the ones that beat us in the two GFs and that is probably the underlining reason why. Still hate the collingwood and carltons. The bottom line for me really is i dont care who it is i just want a premiership.

What, no birthday wishes for WJ? Not even after Johnny Farnham (who released 'Whispering Jack' - John Farnhams 16th Album- multi-award winning album) has announced a new tour!? ...not another tour...

And Jimmy to catch the ball - as President - behind the goals within the cheer squad. How ironic would that be.

QUEENSLAND: PERFECT ONE DAY, RIEWOLDTING THE NEXT
H_T replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Good summary of Bell here. What irks me in addition to all this, is when he's beaten by an opponent (not necessarily his direct opponent either) - Bell's turning circle seems huge, he doesn't turn sharp and sprint, its sometimes a gradual turn that makes him appear top heavy and slow initially, before straightening up and chasing down opponent, by this time the opponent is well gone. TBH Brock is like this too. -
Fixed, thanks.

You're not wrong there....bl**dy Hawks <_<

Ok, coffee break, we're almost at the weekend and yes it's a another poll. Just thought I'd ask Demonlanders this: - If "The Mighty Demons" were playing in the AFL Grand Final next year (of course hypothetically ; but nevertheless possible), which team would you want The Dees to play and win the Premiership against? So think about who you might despise the most, etc.... I have a sneaky suspicion who the most voted team may be, but I won't influence voting by alluding to the team I have in mind. Vote away.... Also, think about who you would like to see lift the Premiership Cup on the victory dias. For the sake of the exercise it must be Dean Bailey and someone. FootNote: Hey Swamp fox, I've put in *West Sydney & *Gold Coast, just in case you complain about another poll! **Did you want me to include a Tassie Team as well? Well I did just in case the poll copped flak!

Yep. It must be the end of the week.....

QUEENSLAND: PERFECT ONE DAY, RIEWOLDTING THE NEXT

I agree with it being up to Bell to make the transition to the midfield. For him to make that transition, he'll need to be super fit and run all day, as well as working on his recovery, second & third efforts and then some. His awareness which has been spoken of plenty of times and his quick decision making with and without the ball and minimising his errors. I hope he can improve in these areas. But between 'hope' and 'know' is a huge gulf. He's played 63 games, it's time for Belly to show the club his worth IMO. -
Brisbane Lions point of view may have been Premiership window opportunity. Help bolster the midfield with skill & poise.
-
I don't think Robbo is a 'list clogger', just yet. One who has kicked over 400 goals within the AFL, even though he has been a little out of form of late, and still is able to produce goals and 'contest' for marks is not a list clogger. Despite his career starting to wind down. There are other candidates that come under "List Clogger". It's been mooted in other threads that Lynden Dunn falls under this category. You won't get an argument from me, here.

Better to look at avenues to increase exposure & positivity, than sit on your rear end, do nothing and implode. Much like the omission of Robbo. Our club is showing leadership and exposing themselves to gaining more revenue. edit: - What, no Hazyshadesofgrinter today??
