  1. there is paperwork. see cas findings. players took banned performance enhancing substance tb4. found guilty. but some people know better than a court
  2. these comments are so far off the mark it is comical. seriously, if you don't understand the facts you would be better served by saying nothing. you are just coming across as an apologist and a denier for the performance drugs in sport industry.
  3. makes sense to me, ethan
  4. whoever the [censored] was who invented social media, he/she/other sure has a lot to answer to
  5. agree, poor form. the sort of comment that can backfire easily, and a president shouldn't get embroiled (at least publicly) with list management.
  6. maybe he meant 40% (about right) and effed it up......what a dh
  7. didn't dorks play 4 last year? (iirc)
  8. just like mitch clark? anyway, chook you make a good point and i agree, but it seems that is not always the way these days
  9. me. there must be a mistake. i'll be ruined if this gets out.
  10. i've just booked into my optometrist. something seriously wrong with my eyesight
  11. you got me mr grape still, where i live it is hard to avoid driving past there (that's my excuse anyway)
  12. hit a nerve there i see..... your post is however quite true. i live very near plc and regularly drive past on many sides. the building development there in the last few years is staggering and the sports and other facilities there are second to none. the size of the campus now rivals a university and there is still plenty of open ground left. the majority of students are now asian who undoubtedly are providing the funds for all the development. parents are buying up all the nearby real estate just to be close to the school. having deakin (in a similar development frenzy and clientele) just across the road adds to the attraction.
  13. couldn't blame wells for wanting to shore up his superannuation while he can. norf won't offer him 3 years
  14. red, you know the vfl comp is run like a joke. look at the draw with all the byes, go to their web site (often wrong, misleading, not up to date etc). the old vfl (i.e. vfa) was better run with honorary staff. afl-victoria is full of paid professionals living the afl high life
  15. you know afl/asada/wada/cas et al don't do themselves any favours by taking so long to make decisions, in some cases taking years it's just not good enough. they need some new mechanisms or powers. we seem to be going backwards in some (many) areas
  16. i don't mind in the least if gws win a flag this year or next. would be a pleasant change and good for the game in sydney what i don't want to see is a top 4 side raking in top 10 draft picks and getting top class academy picks for peanuts for the next 10 years the draft is supposed to be an equalisation mechanism, but there are now so many loopholes in it
  17. i think most clubs would be interested in hogan if he was genuinely interested in exploring the whole market so far, there is only a suggestion of a go-home, family-related interest
  18. knowing the mrp, red, i wouldn't be bold enough to predict, other than to say any outcome is possible
  19. repeat after me, clint. "the mrp does not look at precedents, each case is evaluated on the best interests of the afl"
  20. that's right. you only have to look at uk sport funded by the lottery to see what money and professional talent spotting with elite development academies can do. the uk success in recent olympics is ample evidence.
