i wouldn't write-off the suns yet. they had a dreadful run of injuries this year with basically their whole midfield hobbled. Yes, i know there have been reports of other problems too but when you lose a few games these get a little exaggerated. not saying swans will do a gws, just cautioning against any suggestion the suns are cooked and wont be a threat in the near future
-
certainly looks that way, red when you also factor in the increased salary cap and a similar situation with the suns and the other 3 northern academies then the market for other clubs will stay constrained for some time. the 10 years may be optimistic without any afl changes
-
Why go for a 3rd or 4th round (or rookie) 18/19 year old draft pick ruckman who would be highly speculative and take years to develop, when you could get a young but more developed, promising 21/22 year old state league ruckman, who you could develop in a much shorter time frame and maybe less speculative

Greater Western Sydney (a dynasty to rival the Hawks)

not only that, they can also pick up top discounted academy picks without even using a first round pick -
except for set shot kicking. i'd agree
-
they'll lose a few of their older experienced players though

or karmichael?

i'll have to give you a lesson in binary number systems, saty. 11 bin = 3 dec, 10 bin = 2 dec.......you can complete the division anyhow, i'll accept the compliment
-
it does in a binary sense.....and the answer is 1.5 decimal

i think the op was maybe confused by the term "public schools"? in the uk a public school is the term for a privately run, non-government school whereas in australia a public school means a government "free" school and private school means a non-government school that charges for tuition this is then somewhat confused by the melbourne private school alliance that calls itself the aps where the "p" (confusingly) stands for "public". presumably a hangover from british heritage

i'd consider kyle cheney a success. not a great success but a success none the less (but not for us )

he was a sick puppy. don't think he liked people. he'd be more at home on the serengeti.

disagree andrew, so far a crap, scrappy game. Not impressed with either side (or the umpiring)
-
i really doubt it. will become a long lasting trivia question

struggling today, mandee? personally, if i was a hawks selector and i believed the weather forecast i would be replacing fitzy with a smaller agile inside type player, and that's not meant to a sleight on fitzty, just being pragmatic
-
luv youse all.......... (well, nearly all)
-
not sure wet weather footy is fitzy's forte, but if his 'role' is just to bring the footy to the ground it might work out though if it is as wet as predicted the footy will come to ground no matter what

saty, i think you crossed the line telling jesse there was this huge thread on demonland discussing his contract negotiations. knowing there was a mix of positive and negative comment and robust debate. it was just an invitation for him to read and then not be in a position to really respond to anything he might disagree with not a very smart thing to do, chap -

yeah maybe, but one swallow doesn't make a summer. the op's point that US professional athletes are much older and therefore more mature when drafted is a valid point. By the time they have established themselves they are likely around 23-24 years old at least -
