  1. Ah, good for you rpfc (even if it wasn't good, IYKWIM), glad you clarified that hope you can escape canberra before too long. you must be getting to the chronic stage
  2. lets not resurrect the "basketball" excuse again. He's been playing football since he was a tacker. He knows its a contact sport ok. its amazing the excuses people come up with for Jack unused potential is not worth a pinch of shyte he needs to start showing more improvement, more often, more quicker (sic)
  3. hmmm. walks like a duck, sounds like a duck, smells like a duck ...but I'm not saying it is a duck...hmmm
  4. And you seriously don't speculate? Spin that one again.......
  5. I can well imagine going to the footy in Canberra can be quite challenging RPFC
  6. I think the yardstick should be around 70 points I fear though it will be a lot less Still, I live in hope we can break our lethargy and have a BIG win
  7. problem with Davey being a sub is that the first time he plays a great game as a sub everyone would argue he should be full-time Same will apply to any player. Lets face it the sub is not in best 21 so don't expect too much from a sub, whose prime role is of insurance against injury. If he can play an impact role given the right circumstances then that is just a bonus. I don't think there s anything such as grooming a sub. Its more a question of picking best 21 then assessing who would make best sub and I would guess it would be someone who is versatile in the roles they can play and who is a reasonable accumulator. BTW, Davey back into the forward line (with occasional short stints elsewhere)
  8. Then one day that little girl Brushed away that little curl Away from the middle of her forehead Now she is good She is very, very good And nobody thinks she is horrid!
  9. hahaha LOL Come on E, with 6,600 odd posts in just 3.5 years you are hardly the type to keep things to yourself So, what you are prepared to discuss online is just spin and not your real thoughts?
  10. True old dee, Stef has turned the corner, but I'd already come to that conclusion after the first two rounds Stef is doing what I'd hoped he would have done in 2009 instead of going backwards, so I'm pleased If we need to add to the list how about the Gys. That Draft year is looking a standout (Sculls, Trengove, Tappy and Gys already)
  11. Well that's that - 11 points I'll take the 4 points.........but nothing else
  12. maybe......? "Tell everyone what you want to do and someone will want to help you do it." W. Clement Stone
  13. The real quote is "Aim for the moon. If you miss, you may hit a star." by W. Clement Stone (though some dispute this origin) FWIW he also said: To be happy, make other people happy. Be careful the friends you choose for you will become like them. Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.
  14. +1 There is actually nothing wrong with Jack's kicking per se. He just needs to learn the difference between a high risk difficult kick and a low risk kick to advantage Aaron Davey he aint (and even Aaron overcooks them too)
  15. Very disappointed in just getting 2 points 4 points was there for the taking all last quarter (heaps of chances) We must learn to win those games For those who say we didn't deserve 4 points for 1.5 quarters of football. Rubbish, football is about taking your opportunities and winning (not getting "fair" results). We need to tighten up and learn to win in a flourish Only good thing was we did'nt start the season with a loss. Lets hope they learn something from this game
  16. Well a sub is primarily there for injury substitution, so unlikely to ever be subbed before 3/4q time for form reasons Also if one knew Petterd would play that well maybe he should have been on the bench or in the 18 instead
  17. Maybe a few ahead of him But possibly a Rising-Star for Tappy? Disp Kick HBall Goal Behind Marks 22 B.Moloney 27 13 14 1 0 2 16 J.Grimes 23 18 5 0 0 10 9 Jk.Trengove 23 11 12 0 2 5 36 Aa.Davey 21 17 4 0 0 1 18 B.Green 19 13 6 2 1 3 28 Joel Macdonald 19 9 10 0 0 5 35 L.Tapscott 19 16 3 0 0 7 34 S.Martin 17 9 8 0 1 8 12 C.Sylvia 17 11 6 1 0 5 2 N.Jones 16 9 7 1 0 4 7 J.Bennell 15 6 9 1 1 4
  18. that just means your getting old WYL and your ears aint as good as they once were
  19. thanks for link yes a good article (a change from current journalist standards) backed up by some interesting figures. i understand what the afl have been trying to do, to slow dpwn the game and minimise stress injuries etc but they don't seem to achieve their goals or go about it in the best way. They need to have a good look at how they introduce change in the future,
  20. This thread has been hijacked for socio-political agitation Like many threads it has reached its use-by date and become an ego trip Best to let it die by giving it no oxygen
  21. come, come rpfc, engage brain before the pen. please the majority may be the theory but certainly not the practice
  22. BAD new folks. Hot off the press. ADC has knee soreness and won't be playing this Sunday for Demonland against TalkingCarlton His manager said it was totally unrelated to the unfounded rumours re the GWS website
  23. Ok, Ok, to stop my constant shaking and the bitter taste I've decided to put my money on the fanboys. You'd better be right and Scully stays, if not I'll come over and rip yer bloody arms orf (apologies to AJ)
  24. I have it from an extremely impeccable source in Rooty Hill that ADC is definitely GORN to GWS forum - Big Bucks Beckons .....but he won't announce it till the end of the season Let the handwringing continue. RPFC will be guaranteed plenty of raw material all season to work with
