I'll be there, but then I've been a masochist for 45 years
Watching the Aints/Crows game, the Aints played a zoning game for the first half and got smashed. In the 2nd half they went man-on-man (they HAVE a planB) and with more accurate goal kicking and a little luck could have pulled it off.
Sadly I expect melbourne to zone off as usual let the ball into the half backline like a Crows training drill and get smashed in the 1st Q. I can't see Bails having the guts to change his game plan and give the kids a chance to show some intensity, courage and close-up contesting.
I hope I am wrong (sincerely). Definitely a time for line-in-the-sand but it won't happen if we play wide of the Crows
there hast to be be something wrong with the water at aami
with all the improved facilities over the Junction we couldn't possibly go backwards so badly
we should get the water checked post haste
well taking the tanking into account we should win more games(without improving)
graph means little (esp when you indicate this year as some sort of improvement)
move on to more meaningful stuff
Yes agreed, but wouldn't you expect the head coach to be responsible for who were chosen as assistant coaches and subsequently for their performanceat least to a substantial degree?
Just a comment on Ricky. Yes he is good at finding the ball and marking. Its what he does with it then that bothers me. He doesn't always take the best option, he looks uncertain where to go and is not an accurate kick. Unfortunately he seems to undo a lot of good work.
What do you think?
edit:fat fingers
I seem to remember here, that just before the draft there was a large number of posters (maybe majority) who wanted us to pickup Darling
typical objections were, previous form (tsk, tsk) and not tall enough (ho, ho)
I expected big things from Brad Green this week, and the week before and the week before and.....whats so special about next week?
You want big things to happen then there's got to be big changes made....not the same old again and again
Thank you so much BB59 for your concise and clear description of the Baily MFC game plan
I had been wondering for 4 years just exactly what it was, or even if in fact we had one.
It now makes perfect sense
a couple of points
many are doubting the "progress of the last three years"
it is fanciful to say "Baileys only mistake was to ditch Junior" - only mistake?
"with MacKenzie and Scully being injured" - FFS we had our best injury position in the last 4 years (2 inj + 1 rookie)
we were lacking a lot more than "poise and grunt in the centre"
this was more than just "the INEVITABLE flogging", haven't you been watching the whole season (incl pre-season)
used to like him and had big expectations, but I think he has actually gone backwards from his first year
I can't understand it, he's as slow and soft as treacle and seriously lacking heart. He looks like he doesn't want to be out there. Must have serious problems above his shoulders I think. I also think the club mollycoddle him too much, he needs to be told a few harsh facts. Maybe a new coach could "fix" him cos I don't think DB ever will
