  1. This may have been a throw away line but as we have seen with all of the AFL projects they do everything to ensure that they do not fail. If we become the AFL's next project then we are choosing the path of least resistance.
  2. I have asked some fair questions on the facebook page but they have been deleted immediately. It speaks volumes about the ticket for mine. They have made themselves a very unifluential enemy.
  3. "Incluveness" is apparently conditional.
  4. "Just a query, where on the website can I vote "no" for Stockdale? Seems to be a glaring oversight by whoever put the poll together. Is it a bit like a Zimbabwean election?" Lol, it was removed immediately, so much for inclusiveness. This ticket is a sick joke
  5. Many fail to see that 2 facts can co-exist. 1. Jack Watts is simply not competitive enough and has avoided many contests since day 1 at Casey. He is a highly skilled tall that just does not play with the required intensity. 2. The development of Jack Watts has been handled appallingly.
  6. No 1. Contested possessions, possession count, clearances and tackles all on an upward curve.
  7. To be fair he is entitled to stand. His statements to date for mine have been completely uninspiring. At this stage I will be shopping for the AFL approved merchandise. How can you bring out a plan for the football club that fails to mention the word football.
  8. Standby for a statement from Stockdale honorably withdrawing from the race having now being satisfied that all af his concerns have now been allayed after discussing in detail the plans put forward for the club by the other ticket.
  9. I am past caring about all that Bb, past caring about our emblem and how many stars are on it, how red the red is on the jumper, whether our new draft pick comes across well in interviews. I am not even sure if I want the rank and file to have any input in the important decisions our football club makes. We need a leader who is hard and strong, who has the ability to make difficult and even unpopular decisions for the football club. Neeld's mandate to swing the focus on to footy was entirely the right idea, just very poorly executed. To me this bloke represents more of the same "old" Melbourne, and this is not a good thing.
  10. "MELBOURNE MATTERS - Give members and supporters a say now - Unite the club - Involve members and promote membership - Work with CEO Peter Jackson and the AFL - Make Melbourne financially strong - Build the Melbourne brand: ``Melbourne Matters'' I have no affiliation with either camp and I really don't go for the political side of football but there is one very important word missing from this "plan". (starts with 'f' and ends in 'l') This absolutely fails to win me over and misses the mark entirely.
  11. Just can't see it happening, will be a nice player and that will be it. I would be more concerned about losing Jack Fitz, a true KPF with pace, and a strong body who keeps his eyes on the footy and has smarts.
  12. Skilled player that lacks a true competitive spirit. May be the best thing for the club and the player to explore options. I won't lose sleep over it.
  13. Political rhetoric designed to win votes. Less BS, more footy.
  14. how much is that exactly
  15. That really is it in a nutshell. And without making ridiculous predictions of premierships and everlasting culture shifts I feel that Roos is exactly the right man at exactly the right time to lead the football side of the football club.
  16. Neeld was a failure as a match day coach, a people manager and a motivator. The players played with confusion and fear however whether he has made an impression in raising training standards, eroding laziness and improving professionalism remains to be seen. As for Watts I wonder if he knows what it's like to play without mental baggage and with 100% intensity toward the cause. I doubt that he does and wonder if given time and the right environment if he could.
  17. If fit ...a fairly scary forward line.
  18. I know Im sticking my neck out His field kicking today was excellent and a lot of it was on the run. Tommy Mac will be a serviceable CHB, this guy could be AA. Big, strong, athletic, quick and can take a grab. Let him run straight at it. He could be a 200cm marking kpp and rebounding defender. He could be the best in the game at it.
  19. But I am so sure that next year will be his breakout year and he will tear the comp to shreds.
  20. And he ATTACKS the ball on the ground and in the air with intensity. has all the attributes to become a very good centre half back.
  21. He attacks the footy hard, often fluffs the disposal in close but it's a decision making not a skill issue for mine. Could become a real weapon.
  22. One Viney is not enough. We need to develop more quick thinking and hard bodied inside mids from within, and pick up another couple. We have Jones and Viney... M Jones is a nice player but is best suited to a wing/flank role, Grimes has a tendency to cough it up close in..that could change. Trengove is currently serviceable and tidy but not explosive/quick thinking in close. We need to have a look at Taggert ASAP, and I think Kent is tracking ok and may end up up a mid given time/commitment. I also think Toumpas has a build that could develop and he may well do a lot of work on the inside as well.
  23. 6 terlich 5 fitzy 4 M jones 3 N jones 2 garland 1 gawn
  24. Just about the performance of the year for mine.
