Our midfield is now starting to look much more talent laden and a lot less raw: Jones, Cross, Vince, Viney, Toumpas, Tyson, Trengove, Pick 9 etc... That is a hell of a lot better than this year.

I saw Pedo play against the Cats at skilled this year for Casey and he was so dominant playing at full back that I was in shock. Nobody could touch him and he was hitting 60m clearing balls lace out to targets coming out of the back 50. But every time I saw him play for Melbourne he was a shadow of that player. Not sure why he can't make the transition but I hazard a guess it's all between the ears. He did the same thing at North. Maybe Roos can help him.

Really bad news for the club. If he had have played all 22 games this year would have been top 3 in bnf. In the worst midfield in the comp. And we lose him. Tough pill to swallow.

Well for starters we now have the worst midfield in the comp without these players (barring Rivers), and the last time they all played in our team we were half decent at least and capable of winning more than TWO GAMES for a season. Seriously, the stupidity around here is pretty amazing sometimes...

Scully, rivers, McLean, Moloney and now Sylvia. Wow.

It's amazing how perceptions of how good a player could be lead to people turning on their own. It's especially sad when the bloke bleeds red and blue and has done his absolute best during a horrendous period for the club.

Maybe if we had a midfield to kick the pill to him, Watts would have had a better year. As it stood, he did very well in exceptionally difficult circumstances. A coach who has a clue will make a massive difference to his output next year too.

Take this kid for pick two any day of the week. Get it done.

The only thing that'll improve us is confidence, and the only way to build confidence is to improve the personnel around the players. This will see them grow in self belief and then the tide will turn. If there's one thing we don't have its a shortage of talent.

This shatters me. It's like Stephen Tingay all over again. I hope for his sake they can work out sooner rather than later whether he can come back or whether he should give it away. So devastating for the bloke.
