Matty Bishop - no star but forged a solid career at the Power & was a premiership player Nathan Bassett

Liam Jurrah - committal hearing in Alice Springs
Go the Biff replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Can't figure out why some would want to shove him sideways to the rookie list. God help us if we miss the chance to draft pick 59 or whatever. I'd re-sign him today -
Liam Jurrah - committal hearing in Alice Springs
Go the Biff replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
You'd think there's grounds for reasonable doubt in a trial I've always struggled to reconcile being attacked by a physically fit, pretty big unit wielding a machete with an outcome of six stitches. Reckon Oucher did more damage opening a stubbie. In the meantime, business as usual. Get LJ fit, healthy & on the paddock kicking goals -
Richmond & Coburg announced that they are going their separate ways from 2014.

Then ask the players. How the hell would anyone on here know - no matter how often you repeat the question

Jetta ran out the game far better than Gysberts who compounded after a solid first half

Cam Bruce # 32 announces retirement from AFL.
Go the Biff replied to gsmith12's topic in Melbourne Demons
Pretty substantial contribution that. Bruce will be remembered for what he gave to the club, rather than how he left it. Meeting Cam was the deciding factor in my daughter throwing in her lot with the Demons. He remained her favourite player for a number of years. Until she noticed the newly arrived J. Watts was "hot" and that Cam had become follicly challenged. The Bruce-signed Demon cap went to the back of the wardrobe & JW became her new screen saver. Ahh, teenage girls. -
Good to see the young fella's hard work rewarded. It'll be interesting to see whether he's thrown into the midfield or used mainly as a half forward

Garland growing in 'statue' - MFC website
Go the Biff replied to Ron Burgundy's topic in Melbourne Demons
[censored] post. But at least you're consistent -
I find myself wondering how many good games he has played over his career. I suspect if not for the life-threatening injury he sustained, there would be as many calling for him to be delisted as there are for Bate & Dunne
-
He's actually not a bad kick when he has time to get balanced. He's usually in the thick of a contest though & his disposals are rarely afforded time
-
Same here. Or at the very least wobbled out of a Brisbane bar [censored] & late. To the OP, nice [censored]-take. Enjoying your work.

Poor form - there are enough of us here that used both sites to justify topics on the recent demise of Demonology If you don't want to read them, don't open the threads Simple really
-
Are you sure you're thinking of the right bloke ? Jetta may lack a few things but grunt ain't one of them. If he was a step quicker I'd like to see him tried as a small defender. He relishes the physical side of the game & loves a tackle

You left out multi-dimensional. If you're going to nick it, get it right

And Rollo may return

I doubt there's enough of his own posts for TGR to satisfactorily quote himself on here. His fingers must twitch over the keyboard when he reads the Morton threads though.

Big Bob Johnson inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame
Go the Biff replied to DemonDave's topic in Melbourne Demons
I can remember him playing for Oakleigh. Didn't get out of the goalsquare much. Didn't have to. Think he played for Greensborough in the Diamond Valley. Reckon a bloke I know mentioned playing with him. Will have to check -
I $%@&ing hate it I know the Bugler was on here a couple of weeks ago & full credit to him for presenting his position. Probably a nice bloke. But still I $%@&ing hate it If someone can show me where our founding fathers pronounced "Let the trumpets sound" then I'll concede it has something to do with our tradition but I won't be holding my breath. Something I wish the bugler would do more of. Non MFC supporters who have attended the footy with me are unanimous in their condemnation. They all reckon that this little ceremony makes our club look like a bunch of tossers Now there will be those who'll have the view that they couldn't give a rat's about what others think. Well I do - I think how the club is perceived externally is important. This crap does nothing for us. It's like letting the air out of the ball before the first bounce Plus we've been rubbish since it started which doesn't help

Once. It was pretty spectacular with 13 tackles inside 50 but that was it. Ricky can play but he is a downhill skier. Would like to see him full time as a mid because as a forward, if it ain't going well for him he can't insert himself in the game
-
Good luck winning a game with about 6 players on the ground Morton burnt it a few times today, not on his own in that regard mind you, and yes a couple were horrid skill errors. Just like our best field kick Watts, who gifted Didak a shot at goal. Some of his turnovers come from having no option up the ground or running in support. He does gut-run though and we need more like him who are prepared to spread, even when the lactic acid feels like its burning through your skin. Reckon Cale will be ok

You're right but in fairness, Whelan is in his 30's and hasn't played for a while

Yep - in my opinion Demonology's biggest failing. It is a club rather than a forum. How it became that way is unfortunate but I think you're right. Even if Tim recovered overnight & there was an upgrade, I doubt the "New Members Welcome" sign would be hung out with a great deal of sincerity I'd agree that's the weakness of this joint too. FWIW I am a (limited) poster here, on 'Ology and on Bigfooty. I read all three. All three have some posters who are well worth reading. The first forum I actually joined was MFC Flame (RIP)
