Nah - I'll stick with my original call but thanks for the opportunity to review This has me farked. The ball is thrown to an official at the end of nearly every play. Surely those refs have handled enough footballs to be able to tell if there is something appreciably wrong. With an AFL footy you can tell in your hands as you mark it if it's a touch flat. Different balls but I'd expect the principle to be the same Not surprised to see the Ravens front & centre when the bleating bandwagon got rolling

Agreed. I thought it was brilliant. I've enjoyed the commentary teams on Big Bash. They have managed to strike a good combination of providing information and taking the pi55 out of each other

Most of the memorable matches over my years of watching tennis have been "drawn out 5 setters". Except McEnroe's dissection of Connors in a Wimbledon final which was like watching an artist combined with a surgeon. Superb exhibition. I had a look tonight and found it a bit like dancing with your sister. The steps are the same but it doesn't quite feel right. I take your view that a lot of cricket purists don't like 20/20. I do. I also loved the recent Test series against India which was often riveting. 20/20 is almost a different game. It's not just the time constraints it's the tactics, the approach to batting, the balance of attack & defence. Plus you've got a heap blokes trying to hoik it out of the ground - great fun. But very different to Test cricket From what I saw tonight there is no difference in the game being played in Fast4Tennis. The approach is the same, the tactics are the same, the shot selection is the same. The only difference is the scoring. On court, it's just tennis. I guess I'm with Grapeviney on this - I don't see a need for it or a market that is demanding it. Time will tell - which is kinda ironic in a way

'49er's since the days of seeing Don Lane present the playoffs on TV I have a pretty strong affection for the Pats as well given that a) my other American sporting allegiances are in Boston b) they play in the "other" league c) Tom Brady is a gun and d) they gave me an interest in the playoffs over 10 years of crud from SF It's a strange thing that I can like a few teams in the NFL but despise all but Melbourne in the AFL - although if pushed I will admit that I don't mind watching Port Adelaide play. The rest can all G&GF ThIs week : Indy, San Diego & Arizona to underline the shite season that SF have put together.

Don't think he's been helped by some of the play calling & offensive strategy but he has been pretty awful all year - including in several wins.
