  1. I would prefer bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang , bang and 15 more.
  2. Sorry have edited that; meant to say about 20 metres.
  3. Maynard left his man Tracc and ran 20 metres flat out and jumped into the air, as Gus was coming the other way. He put his hands in the air, to look like a smother and then braced for contact. He hit him with a shoulder to the head and knocked him out. A bump, absolutely no doubt. Only the result may have been unexpected. 100 years of footy and never happened before. As some Coaches and ex players have now said if it was his brother or team mate it doesn’t happen. We have been conned. Smother, my ar-e.
  4. That is horrible. Hope you are ok.
  5. I think this was a con job. It has all been about what can you be expected to do, when you are off the ground, attempting a smother. The biomechanist was even wheeled in. The whole decision was centred around what can reasonably be expected of a player who is in the air, in the act of smothering. The con that I see, is that it was never a smother, it was a deliberate hit, to make a player earn it the hard way, with hands up at the start, to make it look like a legal act, a smother. I am not saying he meant to knock him out, but rather deliver a hard hit, making him earn it and that would affect him and rattle his team mates. Maynard said as much during the week, that he would make us earn it. We have been conned, they looked at it from the point of view of a smother in the air, instead of a deliberate hit. That is how he got off, when coupled with a pretty poor prosecution of the case. To me the whole thing has the look of being stage managed, which is borne out by the refusal to Appeal. That of course is probably my MFC bias speaking.
  6. Seriously, you don’t know what Tracc was doing. He was running to where the ball was coming. He couldn’t shepherd Maynard, as he just ran forward towards Gus. That was unstoppable.

Like for like? Ruck for mid and back for forward.

They will be paying all of his salary, unless we are talking pick 11 and then we might pay some. They apparently have some interest in Harmes. Maybe Dylan Stephens and pick 11 for Grundy, Harmes and a bit of salary cap relief.

IF Gus retires and Harmes leaves, I wonder if JJ would stay, even for a year to test the situation.

ANB, Chandler, McAdam, Woey, Spargo, Harmes, Howes maybe, AMW and Laurie. Kynan Brown and maybe another coming in. Seems a bit top heavy and Laurie is the one that might leave if a trade could be done. I still think Deakyn Smith could play HF or HB. I think he can make the step up. Would love to see him get a chance, maybe as sub against a weaker side next year.
  11. Now you want us to get sued. Would say kindly it wasn’t his finest hour. As to Gleeson no comment.
  12. Well he couldn't have seen the ball, as it was being carried by someone he didn't see, until he was ready to land. What an absolute joke.
  13. He actually admitted it was a disgraceful act to me. That could be remorse or not, but it was many years later.
  14. "Maynard himself said in evidence that he didn’t see Brayshaw coming until the last moment. “I turned my head to land thought ‘[censored], he is there’,” Maynard said." Sorry if I make a mistake as I am laughing hysterically. Player runs forward and jumps up to smother nothing, as he actually didn't see anyone with the ball, until he was coming down to land. FMD is this serious?
  15. 100% correct. Understand if they didn't want to fight, but they should have been called in spoken to by a leader and from that moment on, attacked the contest like mad men. They didn't.
  16. On that day I was 15 metres from where it happened and I was ready to run onto the ground. I thought he could be paralysed. I met Long years later at a horse sale and was introduced to him. I told him I liked him as a player but that it was the worst act I had ever seen on a footy field and he agreed.
  17. I told you he has become an anti Melbourne arseh-le. Howe is one of my least liked players now.
  18. You need to smother Cripps ribs, as they are broken. He is playing with broken ribs.
  19. Because he just appeared there from the ether. His body just flew in the air and turned its shoulder to bump by itself without any brain direction. Wow, is this person serious?
  20. I don't think Robbo is well. I think he has gone from imbecile, to ill imbecile.
  21. Don't you like them?
  22. Absolutely we could use the pace. Our only really quick player is in the FP.
  23. I don’t think it will explode, we all know it will happen.
  24. On 360 Monday, Whately revealed that Maynard was immediately reported by the umpire and Robbo interrupted him saying he paid a free kick. This happened 2-3 more times with Whately trying to get the report point across about the report and Robbo interrupting about the free kick. Was this deliberate by Robbo, or is it just his inability to comprehend and listen to an intelligent discussion?
