  1. Are you saying Apple are rotten to the core? Should stick to bananas.
  2. Not so sure, Freo will throw the whole State at him. Then again he may stay at Hawks.
  3. We might also try and get Hannath back from Freo if they go after Buddy and need cap room, given they have the Giant, Clarke, Griffen, Bradley a Rookie and others.
  4. She does and I sometimes do.
  5. Lucky you, a wife with only one fault.
  6. Your wife is right, you have had a win already.
  7. Put away the knife and fork, he is.
  8. Have you thought of living in a cave?
  9. Port supporter said he saw it and there was nothing in it. Hope they have video if that is the case or he is gone.
  10. If they are worried about both, I think they will play Clark before Dawes. He is athletic and harder to stop than Dawes.
  11. I think Viney is a certainty this week and I would play Clark. He looked ok and can play out of the goal square. My daughter saw Dawes today and he thought he would be OK to play as well. Trenners needs more game time at Casey and probably another hitout for Blease as well.
  12. I think the bridge has been burned, removed and the new one is going up. Romantically it would be great, practically, it is probably an emphatic no.
  13. Agree on Watts. WJ and I vocally supported him from the fence at Southport in his first year in a Casey game against GC a few years ago. We probably made fools of ourselves the way we acknowledged every little thing he did. We did it primarily because he was copping it for the locals for being the number 1 pick and we wanted to defend him. Each time he came off he smiled at us. After the game he came over and said thanks. To this day whenever I speak to him he remembers it. He is a great boy and I hope he ends up a star for us and shoves it up Matthews and a few others.
  14. I hear you brother. Amen.
  15. Not glee, but when I see 14 new players on the list, one next year who could be great, hear that our fitness is up, see the Coach fitting into his role more comfortably, note that the players gone generally added nothing, speak to guys like Neil Craig about our future, while not gleeful I am certainly more optimistic.
  16. Not getting a lot of joy from the Dees are you?
  17. Worthy recipient. Still playing at 35.
  18. It certainly put one on mine. Gee it's making me thirsty.
  19. Congratulations to Liam and the result many predicted. The case went to trial because if it didn't, it may have led to more violence and the Magistrate clearly didn't want to be seen throwing out the all of the charges and perhaps giving the appearance of a result for the famous. It was easier as we said at the time to leave it to others. As a lawyer however, from what we read, if it was all true, it was ripe for dismissal at committal stage. Liam now has a long way back to go, to get his life in order. I wish him the best of luck.
  20. Agree. They are also smug and that irritates me as well.
  21. Agree. He was my favourite player during his career and as others have said was always very approachable. Glad he has turned his life around and I hope he has more involvement with the Dees from now on. He is a favourite son. The young players would have been privileged to hear him speak and I am sure his message would ring loudly in their ears.
  22. He may want to coach us, but being a great player does not always mean you will be a good coach.
  23. Not sure if these points have been made already as haven't read the whole thread. First we get $500k a Darwin game but Hawks get $900k a Launceston game. Hopefully we can up the ante. Second, I think the AFL is using threats of a new stadium to bluff Etihad owners into a more reasonable sale price 12 years early. AFL will get the stdium for $1 in 12 years anyway.
  24. Well done. Apparently a second tier sponsor but also involved in games in Darwin money.
