  1. Got to love the eternal optimism of MFC supporters! At 0-9, and bottom of the table, it can only really go one way.
  2. I like Jared Rivers. May not be in the leadership group, but has done his best to stand up in a backline under siege all season. Quality bloke and quality player.................look after him MFC!
  3. Spot on, Sheeds would love nothing more than to embarass us on our home ground!
  4. Bartel, Selwood, Lenny Hayes.................all stars!
  5. Well done Mike.....................you're only 3 days too late, it's been done to death this week!
  6. Exactly! A must keep player IMO!
  7. Watch the Sydney game again. I watched him closely, and reckon it's close to one of the worst games I've seen him him play. Reminded me a lot of Scully late last year when he was playing not to get injured. He was a warrior at different stages last year, but he is playing with a serious chip on his shoulder at the minute!
  8. Couldn't agree more RR, it's abundantly clear those who have the desire to work the way Neeld wants, and those that don't. Time for a few of these blokes to put their big boy pants on, and have a crack, or hit the road.............the party is over fellas!!!
  9. Agree Old Dee, I've defended Sylvia previously, but he has lost me now. He just takes way too many short cuts when he plays, and the penny still hasn't dropped..........happy to play on his terms, or not at all.
  10. Spot on re: Watts! He and Blease were all we had that put in all game. Watts looked comfortable, and showed some great skill.................would like to see him shut a player down, and still use his skill coming from the backline, that's when he will be seriously damaging. If nothing else, touching the footy that much would do wonders for his confidence!
  11. I liked what Ox said, and his passion. As said earlier, echoed the sentiments of many members.
  12. I like it! Would be a great appointment if we could get him.
  13. I think this is a great initiative. Always tough to get the right combination of relevance and profile, but an award given on one of the biggest events on the AFL calendar, and specifically for an area in which Jimmy excelled off the field is a fitting way to remember the great man. A stand at the G would be great, but I reckon all parties have done a great job with this idea.
  14. Exactly what I was thinking. The game changed forever after that game!
  15. Wow............there it is from Mick the Dick Warner..................get the whole club under one roof, and we wold be winning games! While it would be nice at some stage in the future, the call of homeless is pathetic. We make ourselves such an easy target though..............if we were 4-3 or 3-4, garbage like this doesn't see the light of day, but while we are down, journos just love lining up to put the boots in! Most of the time it's not for the right reasons, but we certainly get more than our fair share of media don't we.
  16. Would be some coup, but I can't quite see it myself......................but then again I didn't see Clark coming to the Dees either....................so go get him boys!
  17. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/more-news/kevin-sheedy-and-mark-williams-guide-competitive-giants/story-e6frf9jf-1226354314816 Amazing a group of kids have adjusted to the idea pretty quickly!
  18. The Bombers are super fit, and busting their arses working both ways for 4 quarters.
  19. I like the Wizard of Oz! I think my previous post sums up my view on Neeld and his direction. I'm [censored] with being 0-7, but I think as a club we've tried to take shortcuts in getting success previously, and I see the approach of Neeld as the right way to go about it............the results aren't where we want them yet, but the intent is
  20. We've followed the yellow brick road, and finally come to the realisation that the wizard wasn't real....................if you really want to get home............start walking!!!!!
  21. Our previous strategy of tanking for high draft picks, and playing bruise free unaccountable football worked a treat didn't it! So well in fact that Bailey left us with a 27% winning percentage. Neeld is undoing previous wrongs. RR is spot on.............our game plan under Bailey would have taken us nowhere in finals, and we wouldn't have made it in the first place! Short term pain for long term gain. I have seen more honest football played by us under Neeld than I ever did under Bailey.
  22. Great idea, let the lunatics run the assylum........great thinking!
  23. How is sacking both of them going to help? Surely you jest?
  24. On sheer probability alone, at least one of our high picks should be / will become a gun. They can't all be duds! I see the reasons they still are yet to emerge as a lack of an environment that effectively develops players, and a lack of elite level work rate from the current group.
