One look at this years Grand Final is all the proof you need to realise Morton is not cut out for the modern game. Sad such a high pick was wasted, but no point persisting further with a players who cannot provide what the coach demands. Worth the punt for the Eagles as they lose nothing, but I can't see him getting many games with them.

We were always going to have to give a little to get a contracted player out of a club. Good pick up by the MFC, and if we can get him back to the 2010 Dawes, we win!

Simply an unattractive proposition for free agents at the minute....................apart from a truck load of money potentially, the appeal isn't that great, and the lure of future success non existent for a player in the last 3-5 years of their careers.

Grant was a terrific player no doubt, but I don't consider him better than Neitz................I view them about even (Neita slightly ahead for being a Demon!) Grant did have a great season when he polled top votes for the brownlow, but Neita also had a great season when he won the Coleman. I like to think I'm being unbiased, I just think there wasn't much between them as players, and for that reason, Neita deserves to be inducted too.

Neita is absolutely Hall of Fame material.......................every bit the player, if not better than Chris Grant who finds himself inducted! We too harshly judge our own sometimes...................Neitz was a champion!

Here it is from the man himself..................BP interviewed after the 2010 draft..............and in his own words on Lucas Cook "he was a bit of the forgotten man in this draft".................so alarm bells didn't ring BP????? Talks a lot about Cooks endurance, work rate, kicking, decision making..............and goes on to say "IF" he marks it inside 50, he scores most times or words to that effect. No mention of contested marking, strong hands, crashing packs, etc normally associated with quality key forwards. Perhaps he was still caught up in the GF replay of 2010, and the form of Riewoldt. Can't be a complete dill though............no complaints with Howe or Tommy McDonald!

Bringing some of these blokes into the club under the Bailey run n' gun style has done nothing for their development. On top of being unable to play the modern game, it appears many also think they are a little better than they truly are. We have been a mess for years, and have finished above 2 expansion clubs...................none of these players could be suprised by what is happening, and if they are they are fools.

Well said! Tired of the distraction and negative press to be honest. If living in Melbourne compared to Yuendemu was a culture shock, so is Neeld running the show compared to Bailey! Get more players in like Clark, Jones, Howe, Blease who want to be at the MFC!

I'd like to see him stay....................has been a good servant for the club, and I think it's important for players to feel as though they can play out their careers at the club if they continue to perform. The whole group has had a lot to get used to, and a player like Moloney has had to get used to losing his spot in the leadership group as well as a game plan that has been tipped on its head compared to what the players were used to. Certainly positive to hear he wants to stay.................now he just has to sign..................amazing what a win does!

Spot on Big Jim, he was great tonight, best game for the MFC IMO! Triple M gave him BOG. We are actually getting to see his skill now.............a beautiful kick, quick, smart, and a very smooth mover.........his basketball skills are really starting to show in how he moves.

How good is it!!!!!! Awesome effort tonight..........the pasion and and effort showed by the whole team was brilliant! Rapt for Neeld, the players, and the whole club. A very proud Demon fan tonight!
