  1. Like it! We're a joke, but supporters can't ever give up!
  2. Just watched the Neeld presser and not sure what all the fuss is about! No tears, not even close.............he was actually quite matter of fact, and appeared strong.............had the usual face twitches which is unavoidable for him, but nothing like tears or a meltdown.
  3. That's the problem, what now. So many problems on field, it will take years to fix. We are at absolute rock bottom!
  4. You were on the ball Clint! He clearly isn'y having fun playing AFL, he might as well do something he is happy to. Every chance to give AFL away I reckon!
  5. It all looks too hard for Watts.........he should have chosen basketball. No appetite for the contest, what a disappointing number 1 pick.
  6. I was for getting rid of Bailey............the team was unaccountable, and only ran one way under him............but not all of it was broken. How have we gone from this to what was dished up on Sunday? http://youtu.be/07pwfLAzttQ Surely we could have a gameplan that tightened up our defensive work, while still maintaining an attacking mindset, similar to the way Geelong play. The Collingwood rip off Neeld is trying get our team to play is outdated, and does not suit the players we have. He better change his approach, or a change of coach is inevitable this year.
  7. Just watched Mark Neeld's commencement dinner speech...................he's not lying, he didn't see that loss coming!!!
  8. Not overly fussed with Rodan and Byrnes coming in.....................Byrnes a free agent, Rodan for pick 80 something. Still think more could have been done to keep Moloney..........we cry out for midfield grunt, and not sure letting him walk was a great move.
  9. The hardest team to play against Mark.............sure you didn't mean the hardest to watch?
  10. We can't even create an us and them mentality! The club rolled over on the $500k fine, because the alternative would have brought the club to its knees, and torn the club apart. The tanking we carried out reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Bart sold his soul...............we have done the same. We continue to get kicked around like the wimp in the AFL playground. We exist today on the back of Foundation Hero generosity..................an unsustainable business model. It's a long way back from here.
  11. Get Paul Roos in.................permanently!
  12. Agree completely! And wouldn't have been thrown to the wolves before his body and skills were ready!
  13. How many pretend footballers can one team have!! This season is going to be ugly!
  14. It would be a pretty boring forum to visit if every poster waited for undisputable facts before offering an opinion. I'm more than comfortable sharing my views on a balance of probability basis, and if wrong,..........well opions can change.
  15. Haha................that's funny, outstanding response! No I'm the type of supporter that doesn't buy the victim mentality many on here are espousing. That if the club finds itself having to answer questions regarding its integrity, that those making management decisions within the club have played a role in this being the case. That the MFC has former employees lining up to put the boots into the club says much about the management of our stakeholder relationships. The club should absolutely fight this to the hilt, and do everything it can to clear its name, but at some stage those managing the club will need to assess their role in this, and ensure the clubs integrity is never questioned in such a manner again.
  16. I'm simply saying a fair degree of self reflection is also needed in this whole issue, instead of the widely prevailing attitude of blaming everyone else for the clubs latest debacle. It's Caro, it's the former players with axes to grind, it's Bailey, it's the AFL, it's the media's agenda to ruin the club...................no, it's the MFC who put itself in this position.
  17. I don't need unequivocal evidence to have an opinion on this. Keep your head in the sand as long as you like.....................we appear to have the big top, jugglers, clowns, and audience in place.............once the ringmaster/s are confirmed, the circus will be complete!
  18. And the integrity of the MFC isn't in question is it? "They did it, and didn't get caught, why can't we?" I love that line of thought and reasoning...................it takes me back to being a child, and arguing with my parents. Does the founding club of the AFL need to be told not to conspire to lose matches?
  19. This isn't the AFL's fault this happened, it's the MFC's fault plain and simple. It's the fault of a weak culture, and managerial incompetence. A 10 person meeting to conspire the deliberate loss of football matches.................it tells you everything you need to know about those involved. Perhaps when Schwab was dicking around with the new club emblem, he could have included a symbol that represents the clubs interest or intent to win every game we participate in, or does that go without saying????
  20. What an absolute circus.....................egotistical, self absorbed f**kwits who have again put the future of the club in jeopardy. Absolutely furious at this whole episode, and to simply blame the AFL, journos, former staff, Bailey etc is letting those managing the club off far too easily! That an idea to deliberately lose matches was first of all raised, and then adopted as a strategy defies belief in the first place, but to then consider an extra early draft pick as some magic bullet for success shows the complete ineptitude and imcompetence of those in charge. Screw Carlton, Collingwood, and any other club considered to have tanked..................I don't care what they do. This is about what the MFC has done...........................I want this investigated thoroughly, and those responsible outted, and run out of football. If a football club charged with the simple responsibility of winning games of football and representing their members and supporters to the utmost of their ability can't even come to terms with and execute that most basic of tasks, then what hope do we have!
  21. Couldn't agree more! We can't even lose on purpose without screwing it up!!!!!
  22. It's pointless trying to determine the success or failure of the trades made at this stage. Next year will tell us all we need to know. Morton and Gysberts in particular will be interesting to track the progress of. Both high picks, both still young with time on their side, and going to clubs capable of developing their youth.
