  1. That`s it in a nutshell Roj! It was a complete Jeckyl and Hyde match, hard to believe it was the same Melbourne team in the 2nd half. Taking pot shots at Jack Watts is just dumb. I am seeing improvement every game he plays. Yes, he should have kicked that goal with 2 or 3 minutes to go and he knew it, you could see how gutted he was after the game. Funny how nobody is bagging all 6 Freo players who missed very kickable goals in the last 1/4. That`s what pressure does, some handle it better than others and I reckon when Jacks played a handful of games more than a dozen folks, he`ll handle it better himself!
  2. Great to see him have a real crack today. I doubt very much the club are thinking of delisting him, unlike the majority of Demonlanders. He`ll be around until Spence and Gawn are ready to play senior footy, possibly longer if he can start playing like he did today more often
  3. Its awesome sitting up there, its a who`s who of the MFC, including all the injured players. I had a great chat with LJ up there a month ago. Re ex players,I saw Daniel Ward recently, looked like he`d knocked back a six pack, maybe more. Leoncelli and Robbie are always there. I think its great that so many ex players still hang around the club, Jimma has a lot to do with this!
  4. Have to say it`s the fittest I`ve ever seen him! Exciting stuff.
  5. Yep, we got lucky today with the umps. First time in a long time, so I`ll take it!
  6. Pretty sure Spencer is injured. PJ was ordinary today but I`d rather him against Sandilands when Jamar needs a rest. IN either Warnock or Bail (depending on matchups) OUT Cheney Morton has played on Subi plenty of times and may get a gig, at the expense of who?, I dont know!
  7. Fantastic match today, has been consistently in our best during the dark 3 years past, and now he can settle up forward and probably become an even better player. He is the best left foot shot on goal we`ve had, but Flash has a better kick around the ground (apart from some of his odd chip kicks)
  8. 6 Green 5 Jamar 4 Bruce 3 Sylvia 2 Dunn 1 Trengove
  9. It would appear that Jamar is starting to get a bit weary which comes as no surprise. I noticed he was getting lots of work on his legs last weekend, he looked pretty sore at times. Spencer came in last week without earning a spot and now that he is injured, the same could be said about PJ. Jamar simply can`t go through the season rucking 90% and needs to be rested. I want Bail in next week definitely if he has another solid run this weekend. Would be great to see him play the season out
  10. Great stuff. Just makes you proud to be involved with this club. Not too often you see a standing ovation on the footy show from every single person in the studio! The boys have got to be up this weekend, Jimmy could do with a win!
  11. Do you know? Is it Juice?? I had a client tell me a few weeks ago it`s a done deal?? I have no idea if its true or not but I can`t imagine he`d be the sort of bloke to make something up!
  12. Hille wont play either. We`re a chance, no doubt, but we can`t rely on opposition outs to get us over the line. Remember R1 against Hawthorn. They had half a team out and buried us something shockn!
  13. This season has gone pretty much as I expected. Unexpected wins (Brisbane at the G, Port in Darwin) and.. Terrible losses (West Coast, Adelaide). We were not disgraced against last years Grand Finalists. Against Geelong we were sapped after the match in Darwin. We`ve barely won a game in 20 yrs down there, so I thought it was not too bad despite looking very tired towards the end of the match as you`d expect. Today, we were pretty good for 3 quarters against last years runners up who beat Geelong fairly comfortably just last week. We were however terribly outclassed in the last quarter, not exactly unexpected IMO. We should have had 3 wins against 2 other Top 4 aspirants. Fair effort that! We may well win another game we didn`t expect to win later this year, and may even lose games we thought we`d win. It`s exactly what you`d expect to see from a team that has won 2 spoons in a row, that is slowly gaining some respect on it`s way back up the ladder. I also think we are a massive chance against Essendon next week if we get our skipper back(has been sadly missed the past 2 matches), Sylvia and Morton (after a reality check). I also still think we are a chance to be challenging for 8th spot next year.
  14. Sanity prevails. I know its cliche but.... it`s school holidays isn`t it??
  15. Makes perfect sense to me. You may have to spell it out for a few people!!
  16. Most arrogant post of the year! Don`t pump those tyres up too much will ya Freak
  17. Good thread mate. I`m right there with ya. I think I spend far too long on here, there is a lot of mindless dribble at times, but this is where I got the bulk of my news on the players/club. My wife is English and can`t believe that I read D`land nearly every day.
  18. I`m not a massive Bruce fan, but I`m baffled why people want him dropped after todays performance. 23 touches (3rd highest), 8 marks 2 goals. 83% efficiency
  19. Enlighten me why Jetta should stay?? PPoor today OUT Jetta, Miller, Watts, IN Sylvia, McDonald, Gysberts(all if available) If Riewoldt plays, Warnock stays in, otherwise drop him for Cheney
  20. Agree. I`m still of the opinion that we will win 3 more games this year, and be exactly where I expected us to be at the start of the season. 7.5 wins will do me just nicely, 8.5 will be a bonus. Anyone thinking we`d do better than this, as you aptly put, is kidding themselves. Some people need some reality pills. (Maybe I do thinking we`ll win 3 more games??!!)
  21. Yeah you should mate I would`ve thought! It`s in 4 weeks time
  22. This is a sensational offer from the club and makes my decision to be a Premium member extremely valuable. They threw an event mid week last year at the G on a Tuesday night which was fantastic with several players in attendance along with Scwabby, CC and Bails. It was terrific. Doing it pre match at the G is even better. They`ll be discussing the season so far and what expectations will be for the remainder of the season, and no doubt go into how we expect to beat the Swans on the day. No doubt there will be injured/dropped players in attendance who are encouraged to mingle. I spent a good 10 mins with Chip Frawley last year and it made my night. Well done Dees. Not only are our team improving, so is the club as a whole, rapidly. Can`t wait
  23. 17 game Premium member. No voucher?? Must be a random lucky dip to get the voucher. Anyway, great initiative by the club IMO, in trying to make all members feel they are a part of something that promises to be special
