Never understood the soft tag either. The only thing I was ever critical of him was looking at himself on the big screen far too often when he was lining up for goal. Glad he`s cut that out now! In 3 years of absolute gloom and doom, he has been 1 of the only shining lights. He has become a fearless and immensely respected player. Great stuff Brad!

Be nice to bring him back against Adelaide, get a little match fitness and maybe have an impact against Toigs the following week

Something along the lines of `` the MFC being a great place to start his career``. From that, one can only deduce that his career at the MFC will be over in 3 years time. No doubt Sculls wants out too!

I`d like to think that Dunn would step up. Pre season form probably does not warrant selection at the moment but we need some hard bodies in the first 3 games in particular. Crunch year for Dunny. He may well be handed his chance on a platter by default, I hope he grabs it by the horns. Cheney is another I think may surprise a lot of us. Be nice if he turned into a Peter Walsh clone.

Not bad. I`d be pretty happy if we run out with this team in Round 1. I doubt Garland will be ready unfortunately and I`d probably change Bennell for MacDonald and bring Cheney onto the bench who has performed better than Bennell this pre season IMO. Possibly Spencer in for Martin also, although the Hawks ruck stocks are worse than ours and Martin might look like a seasoned ruckman against Renouf

I think it`s been said he won`t be back until round 16, not 16 weeks! It would barely be worth risking him playing this year you`d think. I`m gutted for him, and I think it`s a big loss for the club membership drive and gate receipts because that`s what blokes like this do for a club. Only positive is that someone else gets a chance to step up and prove themselves. I wonder if this will be a `lightbulb` moment for Juice?? Surely not.

Yep it will be interesting. There may well be 4 LTI`s.I don`t think Hughes has done enough to be promoted but he might get a gig by default. Ditto Newton if LJ is out long term. McKenzie is a given I`d have thought, he seems to be having a real crack. Spencer simply must be promoted because martin can`t cope in the ruck this early in his career
