Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 5
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
He currently leads the club with disposal efficiency with 85%. Looks like an Andrew Dunkley clone, awkward but very effective! -
Aiming high - 2014 finals team - MFC best 25

GC are a far better team than Carlton. We could beat them..... We still won't play finals. -
Aiming high - 2014 finals team - MFC best 25

So who out of Collingwood, Sydney, kangas, essendon and Port are we going to be good enough to kick out of the finals race? Love some of your enthusiasm but it is laughable! 2 weeks ago this place was in meltdown due to our ineptitude! 6 wins would be a huge pass this year! -
A big crowd gathered around the bar in the Olympic stand to watch the boys sing the song without any volume! The cheer that went up when they finished was awesome! My faith in footy is restored!!

Changes v Carlton - Round 4

I saw Big Maxy doing 20m sprints today. He looked a long way off playing in my opinion. -
GOODBYE MITCH CLARK

Thank you for some of the most memorable moments in 8 years of absolute crud. You were awesome in your first year at the Dees and on your way to Club Legend before injury ruined your career. All the very best for your recovery and the rest of your life big fella! -
With Carlton getting a lasting in the media they could not have asked for a better opponent to redeem themselves. Whilst I won't enjoy it, I'd settle for a 6 or 7 goal loss.

Just drive past Goschs and he was doing 20m sprints..... Looked a long way off playing footy! Strauss on the other was running well and looked fit

We are bereft of a forward line, our skills are deplorable and confidence is rock bottom . What worries even more is my lack of getting filthy with it all anymore, it's just so bloody normal these days!

Nathan Jones on On the Couch tonight?
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to hardtack's topic in Melbourne Demons
You sure They mentioned he was on 360 earlier! -
Agree.... If we blow it this time and fold or relocate I'm done! Melbourne storm all the way and watch my boys play footy when they are old enough!

This is just so sad. My heart aches for you and your family Bails. Thanks for your part in the Sydney massacre at the G 3 or 4 years ago. One of the rare highlights in almost 10 years. RIP Dean Bailey

I got married the day Jimmy ran across the mark
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to pikeout's topic in Melbourne Demons
Played in a losing U20s GF, won BOG award which was a pewter mug which came with a beer shouted by each player in the team. Was probably 15 beers in but i still remember yelling "siren" just before Jimmy created history. Sat there silent with tears rolling own my face for 10 minutes......drank remaining 6 beers -
Geez this floored me when I read this. Its incredibly sad for someone so young to be taken this way. My old man paid a rare visit to me in June this year and we sat and watched the Dees together for the first time in over 25 years, and enjoyed a win against the Tiges. Sadly it was also our last game together. He died of cancer less than 3 months later and I had no idea he was sick until after he went home the next day. What a horrible disease. My thoughts and wishes go out to Two Sheds and his family. RIP mate. These 2 examples also make me realise how unbelievable Jimma has been during his fight with this bastard. He is a true warrior and nothing short of an inspiration.

seeya Ricky!

Didnt see it but that is a painful loss. Coulda gone top of the ladder too! This is looking like a ripper season. Chelsea have a serious case of the death wobbles ATM
-
Ah 45 , u saw that!! Unbelievable stuff

Was anyone else watching Demon Brad Hodge tonight up at the Gabba?? One of the great innings in limited overs I`ve seen. Surely this bloke must get a call-up for either one dayers or 20/20. His form is as good as anyone in the world. Singlehandedly won the match tonight from a very precarious position
-
True! Boy we have missed Van Persie. He looked pretty good in patches the other night!Having him alone may have seen some results turned! Even Fabregas, despite playing a large chunk of the season has been injured more often than not. Happy with 3rd possie, maybe 2nd!
-
Saw it! 1 of the goals of the year. Ends the Gunners chances too, if they weren`t already finished before the game. Their injury list resembles the Dees of the past 3 years!
-
Great win Vics, home final! Gotta say, I never used to watch much state cricket but it`s been far more exciting than the rubbish we watched the Aussies play against this Summer
-
Some interesting results this morning! Must admit, I thought the Gunners season was over, but there is a pulse! Fortunate however, clear handball from Fabregas in the last play of the match from Gerard, looked like it was going in!
-
Next fortnight will decide our fate! Any idea when Van Persie is due back? Get him fit, keep Cesc on the park and we are a massive chance this year! Agree if we lose Cesc, we`ll struggle. Many of our wins would have been draws, even losses without this bloke this year. How he is not a walk up start in the Spanish side is beyond me!
