  1. Starting to sound like an opportunity to have a dig at Garry Ego Lyon.
  2. BUMP When your bottom 6 players play well and perform their roles you win games of footy. We`ve had a few standout players in both wins but a real evenness across the board, a classic team effort. Who they are is becoming harder to answer, and everyone will have different views and they will probably change by the week the way things have started. I`d probably have Jones, Jetta, Sparrow, Hunt, Spargo and TMac from last nights team (not on performance but expectation). Before rd 1 I`d have had Jordon in there somewhere but I`m starting to believe the hype, All of them played their part last night and its hard to see any of them get dropped for next week. What a great problem to have.
  3. I went through a divorce recently that ripped my heart out. I was depressed. if it wasn’t for speaking to my mates I’m not sure how I would have coped. One of the first ones I spoke to suggested I get counselling which I did and helped tremendously. I disagree with you Hff. If I didn’t speak to my mates I doubt very much I would have sought help and who knows how things would have ended up. I reckon Spud would have loved it, as I’m sure his family in attendance would have too.
  4. Yeah tempted to say no change. We are winning, whoever gets in needs to be banging the door down in the 2s
  5. I’ll take winning ugly all year . Well done boys!
  6. The bloke that wore the same jumper before him for 7 years for 28 games!
  7. Just announced on SEN 5 mins ago
  8. Harmes injury just confirmed on SEN - 6 weeks wrist
  9. I’m not sure how many people questioning the goal kicking (rightly so) were at The G , but there was a pretty constant strong breeze all day. It swirls inside the stadium and many times the ball came off the boot straight and then went rapidly in a complete different direction to the flags on the scoreboard. Both teams had the same problem. I’ll hazard a guess “Mental Demons” wasn’t at the ground this weekend.
  10. Our best aggressor is AVB and we often play well when he’s aggressive but he’s no longer best 22. He had a real poor 2020 and has fallen a fair way back I’d say. Viney back in will add some mongrel and to a lesser extent Melksham who at least stands up for his teammates but again had a real poor 2020 and is borderline best 22 now. May of course will never take a backward step. Other than that yep we are a pretty “nice” team. A far cry from 2018 when I reckon our physicality won games of footy.
  11. Agree, Viney in for Jones and Harmes stays in and follows Jack Steele around all day. If he’s not tagging I’m not sure what he offers any more. Would not be upset with Chandler in for Sparrow either but these younger guys should be given a few games in a row, dropping after one game does nothing for development, probably stalls it if anything!
  12. Gold Coast will be knocking on the 8 come seasons end. Probably win today if Rowell didn’t go down so early. Some serious talent.
  13. If the following happens which is not impossible, we finish 3rd - We beat Lions North beat Freo Pies beat Crows.
  14. Jordon: Surnames not Jordan!!
  15. Just got home from the G, so good to be back. A truly ugly win but we have lost them in the past and never really looked like losing bar the first few minutes. May n Lever superb. Thought Spargo was real important today and I think we’ve all seen enough to know that last years rookies , Riv, Kozzie and LJ will all be stars of the game. just wanted to add the crowd of 21k was extremely disappointing for a first match live in 18 months, disgrace really.
  16. Agree with this, particularly with Jones n Jetta, they will look painfully slow with this quicker game we are witnessing. Both defences will dominate the forwards, to me the game is won by whoever can convert their opportunities from turnovers across the backline, something that hasn’t ended at all well for us against fast teams. I think for pace these 2 teams will be pretty even.
  17. I am Premium and I don’t believe they are available currently as they have to allocate seating at time of booking and guest passes are thru the club not ticketek. I’m taking my 2 boys who are standard members but we are sitting away from my usual area on level 2.
  18. Jeremy Cameron could miss a month with a hammy from training
  19. No, only from concussion the way I understand it! Both players could play next week as they were not concussed which I don’t agree with.

  21. I reckon M Voss will turn into an excellent coach after his first failure , he just seems a very driven individual. Will probably happen in the coming years as he has had a fair apprenticeship with Port now.
  22. https://foxsports.com.au/afl/extigers-assistant-mark-williams-says-he-hasnt-spoken-with-damien-hardwick-since-sacking/news-story/1c5a497bc05a2ef29813ab0e57ba42fe Came as a shock to him at the end of 2016. Had a great relationship with players though.
  23. For 3-4 years now a lot of footy experts have rated our playing list very highly but we have continued to underperform. Maybe someone like Choco has been the missing ingredient. He is an old school motivator, very direct when it’s required but very likeable. I distinctly remember how much the Tiges players loved him when he was there not that long ago, as the club began its transformation from laughing stock to benchmark. As others have said he could be the best signing our club has made in years.
