  1. Don't know much about history. Don't know much biology. Don't know much about a science book... But I do know that Lance avoided the axe until he was too old to ride. I can see this riding on till Essendons guilty players have had at least 2 more years of paid competition before they're compelled to stop.
  2. If we did have a "precinct" it is in South Yarra, Prahran and Caulfield. I can imagine parkville enticing to those that live North of the city. That said, If there were better opportunities to attend training anywhere within 5 kms of the city and the club actually provided for fans to help attend i.e. afternoon sessions and food and toilet facilities, Id go there.
  3. Junction Oval would be much better. Not tooth by jowl with Carlton.Melbourne University is in Parkville. If only someone could broker a deal with Cricket Victoria to get things rolling.
  4. Brad Scott - once a bully always a bully. He will never admit (or even get) that he was way out of line. At most he will make a joke of it. Well done Tom Rockliff for defusing the situation.
  5. I feel Im being cornered into supporting the players but I dont really want to. If I got sacked from Hungry Macs for what was Hearsay I would appeal to a court. Its not simple.
  6. Thanks BD that makes sense. So that means no actual law is broken which means Dank cant be made to show his records. I do understand that EFC and its players can be rubbed out of competition but Rules of Court dont apply.
  7. Ok I get it. The court is in Egypt. Thanks for clearing that up.
  8. Ok Dumb question 1) Is ASADA's case against Essendon ruled by Federal or States Laws? Im thinking its a Fed case but if it was a Victorian case there would be a "Mention" where evidence is shown to the defendant. That is fair. Dumb question 2) If Danks has got evidence (one way or the other) and he stated he isnt showing until a court orders him, why isnt he subpenaed? Is it still not a "Court of Law"? If any of the lawyers present has a simple answer to these I would be grateful. I dont feel comfortable thinking a court can charge you and not have to show evidence of why youre charged. Thanks
  9. I really like Nathan Buckley and he may have let the lid off the pot today, but in general, I find his views very refreshing.
  10. Actually the statue of Justice at Victoria's Supreme court is not blindfolded which is the only one in the world except the Old Bailey. Its meant to show that Justice is not blind. Having said that, the guy who hanged the Ballarat rebellers and didnt allow Ned Kelly to have a defence is celebrated with a statue in front of the Melbourne library. I prefer the statue of St George killing the dragon just near it. Probably closer to the truth than Redmond Barry's good deeds or that Justice may not being blind.
  11. Yes the posts are informative. I do enjoy them. I dont like the thought that someone may be representing me (as part of Demonland) however the mood strikes them, to the club and its players. I accept my view may be churlish.
  12. Sufferin' Succotash, Batman! Rohan Connolly and Mark Robinson's dramatics only sweeten the pot.
  13. Essendon have said they dont have records. Dank has said he has complete records but will not release them to the AFL but will to a court of Law. This now is a court of law, right? Why is this not transparent? How can Little say "No-one knows"? Has Dank already shown ASADA but it is kept quiet? Is this merely a Pi$$ poor defense implying "burn the records then we can say Dank was experimenting on us"? Or is there more to it... Im not being ingeniousness, I really dont know. Also is it possible Jobe has started 6 months of penalty without anyone knowing? or is this merely a conspiracy theory? Thanks in advance.
  14. One of the highlights was watching the team song and there was NO-ONE in the middle. Been a while since I can remember seeing that. Sorry if it has already been noted.
  15. Junction Oval would be my choice if we had our own reserve team. Get it before Saints get organised. I dont think Cricket Victoria would view them any more favorably than us.
  16. I dont think it is bad for the MFC or its supporters. Look at Caro's latest article. It was only a year ago when we were under the burning spotlight. Demonlanders thought she had it in for us. It was a year ago when we were the laughing stock of Essendon supporters especially one Rohan Connolly. He was giggling at how bad we continued to be. I took it all hard. Im happy for EFC to suffer long and draw it out, I dont have an ounce of sympathy and dont believe it will be bad for the AFL at all.
  17. To run flat out at high speed and be able to kick long low and hard, is rare. Dont see it much. For a whole team to be suddenly able to do it after a pre-season was suspicious. It stuck out like the proverbial. Im happy to believe the players, the doctors, the management and the coaches were all thinking the same thought. "How goods this!".
  18. But what about the poor players? Oh, the Humanity!
  19. I think North would be prepared to pay way over the odds for Brayshaw. If we happen to be in position to exploit that, why wouldnt we? As mdemonski2 says my thoughts drifted to Jake Ziebell, too. As a 23yr old he would certainly be a great get as Crossy sunsets. But other than him, I dont know what they have that they would be prepared to trade, or that we would take.
  20. I wonder if we could deal with North for a player and their #13 pick so they could get Brayshaw?
