  1. I dont know if they are competent which is why I wonder about how good they are. As soon as the fixture came out, it was obvious this seasons first round was pretty much make or break. I realise bad luck happens but the niggles Dawes (especially) had before Christmas possibly could have been handled in a fashion to get him on the park. Jamar, Clark, Gawn all unavailable with what seems Not to be last minute injuries. And my belief is that if you are not able to play, you are not fit. But my main gripe is we get [censored] from Misson every week. Just seems to me that they DGAF.
  2. I thought I made it clear I didnt trust him, merely that I wouldnt trust ASADA or EFC. Buffoon
  3. Dismissing the weapon and keeping Hird was like KAOS blaming Starker but letting Seigfried carry on.
  4. Danks has said he wont speak to ASADA or EFC because he does not trust them with material he believes will exonerate him. He said he will wait to be called as a witness in a court and he will then show he has proof of drugs, dosages, times and players. He said he has proof the injected drugs were legal at the time. Im not agreeing or disputing these "facts" but I dont trust EFC to do the right thing for anyone. Now I wouldnt trust ASADA after all this time either. Sorry if Im coming off a long lead and preaching to the choir but I havent read everything in this thread.
  5. I copped stick for the above post. Im not commenting on Dawes or Clark anymore about how much money they make as contractors as opposed to employees. My worry is that there are medical and training staff at the club who arent competent. Would anyone here buy a used car from Dave Misson?
  6. going by your little photo there Im sure you think he is a cracking chap and its spiffing to have such a gentleman be the football clubs captain.
  7. Really? Please guide me to the highlights of his games. He is the epitome of the emporers new clothes. And if you want to be fair dinkum, tell me who is a worse captain in the AFL. I fully support Nathan Jones blasting the bejeezus out of him.
  8. Just saw Jack Grimes on the Channel 7 Game day. Happy, professional, articulate. I bet he interviewed really well for the job as captain. The bloke has no go in him.
  9. If you were in the centre square you would expect the occasional tap from Spencer. I was a Spencer fan and he had to go all night but so did Stanley (I think). We lost it in the middle to the worst midfield we will see. Watts Jones Vince M Jones Dunn Trengove
  10. Bale sp. 1. evil; harm; misfortune. 2. woe; misery; sorrow.
  11. Yes thats what people say.
  12. When you look at the players the Saints had unavailable, it makes this win for them a highlight. I aknowledge our bad luck, but NO other team would have lost tonight.
  13. Cue excuses coming up. Who would be the worst player as captain in the AFL? Initials JG... Meanwhile Chris Dawes earlier said he is 2-3 weeks away. Thats what he said 2 weeks ago and what he said 1 week ago.
  14. All the anticipation, draft picks and pre-season training is over. Now the reality is almost upon us. Winter is coming.
  15. There used to be a "grade 2 rule" when I was a kid. Thats when you make your mind up on your team. But that was then.
  16. If AFL was game of Thrones Mitch would be Theon Greyjoy.
  17. I have sympathy for the players and I am glad I dont know any one related to them. I personally know many Essendon supporters who have revelled in MFC's mis-fortunes and mishandlings. One in particular is a good friend of Rohan Connolly and the two of them have been laughing their heads off at how bad we are going at soccer practice for kids. Rohan, of course is the smiling guru who cant be on live TV because he gets stage fright so he has to tape everything. Bad for his ticker, he says. I hope Essendon fold. Schadenfreude.
  18. The young men who were administered drugs by those they had been taught to trust, I have a lot of sympathy for. But if the athletes who use drugs are not stripped of awards and banned from playing, it would make investigation and subsequent penalties imposed, impossible to pursue.
  19. I think Neita was great despite his development. Each Pre-season when he was from 22 to about 25 he trained with the backs but because of injuries to forwards was inevitably sent to the front half. I dont have facts to confirm but I used to see training especially pre-season quite a bit then. IIRC he didnt train with forwards in the Pre-season till well into his career.
  20. This in a nutshell, has been my thinking since just before Christmas when it looked like we would have a full list. If we had the chance to get an early win, especially the 1st game, we could get a roll on and end up with 8 or so. Winning begets winning. As it is, well I just hope we win against the saints.
  21. Tracey Holmes was on "Offsiders" today. She made a case for the fact that ASADA has had a year to prove the drugs used in NRL and EFC were banned. She says that: 1)it is still murky as to if the supplements were banned (at the time) 2) other large penalties in NRL's recent past have found the original offense to have subsequently been allowed 3) Head coaches do not necessarily have input into medical practice in the club It was interesting that only Caro spoke against what I thought was outlandish statements that we heard a year ago, before the arguments and information became more complex and revealing. Caro didnt seem outraged at all. I think that Cronulla and Essendon will walk.
  22. Then Im tipping you will be fit before Cark... Its not a "bigger than yours" issue, you made an accusation that I had never played footy and I have, and I have managed quite a few injuries. Thats not the point, its a lazy and sharp accusation to say one obviously hasnt played football. So I put up an option that you arent keen on. Funny that.
  23. Nose, teeth, knees, hamstrings, ankles, toes, back but especially fingers. Ive spent money on injuries. Ive no idea who you are sport but you want to do half an hour kick to kick one evening, 10 minutes of of run throughs? Peanut farm St Kilda, pick a night, not Wednesdays. Im 58 short and not particularly fit, slightly overweight, I guess, but unless youve finished playing in the last few years, Im confident Ive got a big mouth like you well covered. IM me. Ive got a new Sherrin KB.
