PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 11th November 2025
I once phoned up said spiritual leader of Tibet and he sent me a large goat with a long neck. Turns out I'd called "Dial-A-Llama" by mistake.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 11th November 2025
It may be nothing to worry about. Neither player were "meant" to be there as today was for years 1 - 4 players. Some, but certainly not all, of the more senior players also turned up for a run.

There's a write-up in 'The Age' online. Key points include: - The training camp will be held at Bright in two weeks time - Clarrie absent from training and dealing with a "family issue" - Tracc absent from training but expected to be at the training camp - Tom Campbell did running drills https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/petracca-ready-for-demons-camp-as-forgotten-magpie-impresses-20241111-p5kpi8.html

Congratulations Neale Daniher
Neale Daniher has been awarded the honour of being Victoria's nomination for Australian Of The Year. MND has an average time frame of 27 months, but here's Neale still fighting eleven years after his diagnosis. Onya Danners. I reckon all Melbourne fans and the greater footballing community supports your work and is proud of you. Neale Daniher named Victoria’s Australian of the Year

2024 Phantom Drafts
If a player doesn't have enough of the required 'needs' they should instead take up a track and field sport. Discus?

The Jagga Smith Thread
I just learned about recency bias and it's my favourite thing ever.

From the vault
It was also our first look at new recruit Travis Johnstone, who was taken at pick one in the 1997 draft. I remember watching in awe as he effortlessly hoovered up loose ground balls before pinpointing teammates with perfectly weighted, accurate disposals.

Best games ever on FoxFooty
I will unfortunately never be able to forget this game, but I have no memory at all of Mark Stevens. An Adelaide player named Goodwin had 25 disposals with two goals. I wonder whatever became of him.

Apropos of nothing at all, I once saw a short film called 'Werner Herzog Eats His Shoe'. It was at the old Valhalla Cinema in Victoria Street, Richmond in the early 80s.- Death riding Dees

Wot?- Draft night - How it may work out?
Today's 'Age' has this to say. They're guessing just as much as all of us are. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/pick-a-winner-who-your-team-will-target-in-the-afl-draft-20241021-p5kjy5.html Midfielders Harvey Langford, Sid Draper and Josh Smillie could get through to their first selection, while key forward Harry Armstrong, defenders Alix Tauru and Luke Trainor, and classy midfielder Xavier Lindsay might be in the mix at their second pick. Hore will score another one-year deal, but Smith will be delisted. Judd McVee will be upgraded to the primary list, and Andy Moniz-Wakefield can no longer be a category B rookie.- 2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

If we draft Jagga, lure Keath out of retirement and employ Jones and Watts as assistant coaches, we'd almost have the original band back together.- Delistings 2024

Tauru is almost a bull.- Demonstone's Frankly Frustrating Frivolous Frippery
Time to deliver the coup de grace on this one it would appear. The hints of "grammar" and "do" were intended to lead you to the solution that the surnames of all the players in my team can also be used as a verb. I promise the next teaser will be much easier.- Demonstone's Frankly Frustrating Frivolous Frippery
@Roger Mellie has done enough to join the other three on the podium. I believe that he is keen on Sid Draper, who joins Langford, Weideman and Hourigan as Demons. To help put the rest of you out of your misery, the two clues may be distilled to GRAMMAR and DO. - Nathan Jones joins MFC as an Assistant Coach
