  1. If Eddie was one of the Marx Brothers, his stage name would be Skid.
  2. Yeo is a Pro. One of our sponsors might like to arrange a marketing deal with him.
  3. That's a very small injury list. Maybe this Selwyn bloke knows what he's doing. Adelaide, by comparison, now has four players out for the season. I forget who their fitness guy is.
  4. You need to give your phone a jolly good talking to, @Jaded No More. It keeps adding a superfluous "s" to Mc Adam.
  5. I think I can help you out. "Effing" is a euphemism for a naughty word that we can't say on here.
  6. Be that as it may, some posters still bemoan that we "let him go" or "didn't try to keep him".
  7. It's amazing that some posters still aren't aware that Jordon was a free agent. We wanted him to stay. He chose to leave.
  8. Pre-game ANZAC ceremonies two and three days after ANZAC Day. Yay or Nay?
  9. Well, we're still in the top four. Even better, Collingwood will end the round out of the eight regardless of tonight's result.
  10. Confirmation that Sam Powell-Pepper has done his ACL and will undergo a knee reco. There couldn't be too many worse injuries to cop than that one.
  11. I'm saying that Pickett should have been suspended.
  12. Of course it's a work place. It's where the players earn their living by being paid for what they do. They could reasonably expect to have somebody jump on their shoulders or tackle them. It is unreasonable to suggest that they cop a coward punch while doing their job.
  13. @old dee went to the game and still has nightmares about that miss by Elliman.
  14. Make sure you check the proper spelling, @Jumping Jack Clennett
  15. The answer was 42 of course, which is why Disco Turner was our answer on ANZAC Eve. Apparently some Demon fans think that Turner should henceforth be nicknamed "Plugger".
  16. Here is another real Mensch, and I mean that literally.
  17. Tholstrup was essentially Kozzy's replacement last round and naturally makes way for his return this week. Kolt's time will come I am sure.
  18. This teaser was different from most of the ones I've posted previously and is somewhat on the sneaky side. Each player's first name initial combined with their surname creates a proper word. Thus we have truffles, clove, sheath, cling and so on. Thanks to all participants and apologies to others for the torment.
  19. If the baby has arrived, that shouldn't stop Kossy playing. However, it might explain why @kev martin didn't spot him at training last week.
  20. I've still got the VHS tapes! Can't bear to throw them out just yet.
  21. We can add @Jumping Jack Clennett to the list of winners. Solution to be revealed later this morning at some point.
  22. It's a perfectly cromulent word which embiggens the thread title! @grazman has solved the mystery. I'll leave it up overnight and post the reveal sometime Monday morning.
  23. I suspect the gnome is hiding somewhere and mischievously laughing at his owner.
  24. zeitgeisty adjective Conforming to the zeitgeist, contemporary, trendy, modern From Wiktionary, Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License. More at Wordnik
  25. Congratulations to @tilly18 who has filled third place by identifying the solution. He can proudly wear the virtual Medal for Gallantry for his efforts. I'll leave the teaser open for others to have a go should they wish to do so. The clue seems to have helped! Anybody else who works it out will deservedly have a share of the virtual Commendation for Gallantry.
