Myrtle is coach of the women's team. See the AFLW Board for the full team.

Unlucky to miss out! Such a calm player, too. How's the serenity?
-
You're right, it does sound wrong. How about Craig Ieburn?
-
I make the rules in this thread, champ.

An analysis of the 2023 fixture. Melbourne did alright as it turns out. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/winners-and-losers-who-really-has-had-the-toughest-afl-fixture-this-season-20230815-p5dwl4.html

The Lance 'Buddy' Franklin Non Thread
Demonstone replied to John Demonic's topic in Melbourne Demons
Buddy will have a farewell lap of honour before our game at the SCG, but will not be playing. -
That qualifies!
-
Doesn't qualify. The suburb is Craigieburn. edit: Craig I. Eburn would work.
-
Selected in the centre!
-
Have a look at the AFLW Board, WJ. Mary Borough has made the team!
-
It's a shame I couldn't fit more players in. Jack Assflat just missed the cut and that's a bummer because he always had a crack and gave some cheek.
-
Agreed, HT. Doesn't sound anything like it. Hope all goes well with your treatment and you're back on stage before too long.
-
Not a suburb.
-
Suggestions welcome! Brayanbrook is not a suburb by the way.

I thought "Richard the Third" was rhyming slang and far more applicable to Dayne Zorko than to Clarry.
-
Do you reckon they may have been ... ummmm ... "influenced" by this 1966 recording? As far as favourite songs go, that would change from day to day and be impossible to rank.

Pick your favourite Demons side of all time
Demonstone replied to whatwhat say what's topic in Melbourne Demons
He sure was. Good enough in fact to win a Melbourne Best & Fairest, make the All Australian team, represent his state (SA) on seven occasions and play in two SANFL Premiership teams. Danny was also our stand-in Captain when we won the night Grand Final (Panasonic Cup) in 1987 because R. Flower was out injured. His regular battles with Brian Taylor were a highlight. They didn't seem too keen on each other! -
I've never heard of either of these two.
-
I think she works in a different field of entertainment altogether.
-
Paul Seedsman (Adelaide) has had to retire due to concussion issues. No offence to the guy, but I didn't even realise he was still on a list.
-
I never played footy at a senior level, but I know you do @dazzledavey36. Do players really try harder just because it's a teammates' milestone game or if they're retiring (ref. Franklin)?

Demonstone's Latest Linguistic Lashings Of Literary Learnings
Demonstone replied to Demonstone's topic in Melbourne Demons
With scattered references to "strike a chord", "midnight oil" and "mental as anything", I'm surprised that more people didn't make the music connection. All the players in my team share a surname with an Australian musician. Below is the team of musicians. Some surnames match more than one first name (eg Angus/George/Malcolm Young, Ross/Chris Wilson, Paul/Sean Kelly) but I've gone with the name that first occurred to me. B: Colin HAY Clare MOORE Rowland S. HOWARD H/B: Ross WILSON Paul STEWART Angus YOUNG C: Tex PERKINS Kevin PARKER Paul KELLY H/F: 'Greedy' SMITH Jimmy BARNES Chris BAILEY F: John BUTLER Kim SALMON Mick HARVEY R: Jim WHITE 'Angry' ANDERSON Spencer P. Demonstone's Latest Linguistic Lashings Of Literary Learnings

Our other "almost there" solver @Timothy Reddan-A'Blew has done enough to join the list of winners after being driven mental (as anything) all night working it out.
