Agree that we need to have multiple players contributing to the goalkicking and not just rely on one spearhead, as nice as a 50+ goalkicker would be.

I believe that, if we do draft him (most likely in PSD), it must be a minimum two year contract under AFL rules.

Meh. Geelong's tall forwards (Hawkins, Taylor and now Jenkins) are all old and nearing the end but the Cats don't think Buzza's worth keeping around to take one of those spots. Pass for mine.

I would think that recruiting a player because his brother already plays for us would be right at the bottom of a list of good reasons to be chasing after somebody. Suspect we won't regret not picking up a vanilla player like Z. Jones.

I'd be extremely happy if we were able to secure Tom Papley, but he's not the Messiah (nor a naughty boy!) and not first round material, as others have already stated.

Another poster described Papley as a "poor man's Brent Harvey". If you're a "poor man's" anybody, by definition you're not that great. Second round pick at best IMO.

Pick 3 for Papley? Not in a million years mate, he's not worth anywhere near that.
