It was our picks 26, 33 and a future 4th rounder in exchange for Brown, pick 28 and a future 4th rounder, so essentially he cost us pick 33.. That is not "overs". 'Can't You Hear Me Knocking' really showcases Mick Taylor's exquisite lead guitar chops in all their glory. If push came to shove, I think I'd opt for Sticky Fingers as my favourite Stones' album, just edging out Exile On Main Street and Let It Bleed. In the early 80s, I saw Mick playing with John Mayall's band at a venue on the Upper Esplanade in St Kilda that I'm pretty sure no longer exists. The show was, naturally enough, very blues based but Mick's playing was worth the price of admission alone, especially for a Stones freak like myself who, at that stage, had never seen them in concert. Any Stones' nut worth their salt would recall that Mick of course was originally recruited by the Stones in 1969 while he was a member of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers.

Perhaps they could send Carlton to Tasmania and make them play at Wynyard. They would, of course, be known as the "Wynie Blues".

Imagine if the AFL struck a deal with Tasmania to relocate us down there. We'd have to change our nickname to "The Van Demons".

I wonder if those downplaying the issue here and/or attacking one of the authors of the report realise that they come across as condoning racism, supporting Eddie McGuire and endorsing the KKKollingwood culture.

Looks like poor old JJ is this year's victim of having his name continually misspelt by posters. It's Jordon folks, not Jordan. Two "o's" and no "a" at all. Same spelling as our erstwhile under 19's coach, Ray "Slug" Jordon.

While that is correct, it should be remembered that both umpires gave Brownlow votes that season so it is the equivalent of nine votes these days. This is not to downplay Osborne's effort, however. The winner, Graham Moss, polled 48 votes! Other Demons to do OK were Greg Wells with 28 (equal 4th), Stan Alves with 19 and some bloke called Robert Flower with 17.

I've still got the vinyl copy of that album, in excellent nick, purchased in the late 70s. Wonder what that might be worth to the right collector?
