  1. The Dead South are more bluegrass than your outfit hardtack, but thought you might like this.
  2. Given that nearly every other sporting organisation managed the same feat, I don't see it as extraordinary. Then again, I'm biased and loath to give Gil much credit.
  3. I suspect that many people have already made up their minds and will be voting early. Early voting is available in the two weeks leading up to election day.
  4. The reality bus?
  5. I reckon Benny Gale would make an ideal replacement, but anybody who has read Mick Warner's "The Boys' Club" would be unsurprised in the least to see the job go to one of Gil's AFL mates.
  6. You're the one who should be jealous. My copy of "The Raven" album has the rare and beautiful 3D cover ... and you're not getting it!
  7. Alan Jarrott, a competitive and nuggety type who played 91 games for Melbourne in the 80s after crossing from North Melbourne, was from Moyhu. The only other VFL/AFL recruit to hail from there was Hawthorn's John Hendrie, a forward who played in two premierships and who was more than a decent player.
  8. I thought we'd already covered this!
  9. They both were offered one week with an early guilty plea weren't they?
  10. Now he'll probably only make the bench as the backup ruck in the All Australian team this year.
  11. Outstanding debut post. More please!
  12. One of the reasons they are low on the ladder is that they lost to Melbourne.
  13. My eyes never fail me, I saw him doing a sudoku in the forward pocket "Disinterested" is a commonly misused word that rolls off the tongue easily, but it means unbiased. You would hope, for example, that the umpires were disinterested. What mono was saying is that if you don't care, the correct word is "uninterested".
  14. Working for me. Demons 19 -0. Try refreshing your screen.
  15. It's the most goals in a GF this millennium, which sounds even more impressive!
  16. Port Adelaide Football Club have announced a new phone number for angry supporters to vent their frustration as the switchboard at club headquarters is being overloaded with calls from disgruntled fans. The new number is 1800101010. That's 1800 won nothing won nothing won nothing.
  17. Oliver and Petracca don't have bad games, just good ones and great ones. Last night they merely played good games but others stood up. I'm loving it.
  18. Poor old Port are suffering a bit of an injury crisis at the moment and are hoping to bolster their list by recruiting some players from State leagues. I believe they are particularly interested in Nat Fyfe's younger twin brothers. Should they lose to Carlton next week, expect to hear a lot about Owen Fyfe and Norton Fyfe.
  19. Anyone. Anywhere. Any time.
  20. The two interstate games in a row issue has no bearing on this match as the second of those games doesn't take place for another nine days after tonight.
  21. Steven May can't be far off 100% either.
  22. Best looking and most intelligent supporters.
  23. Why would you spend good money on an NFT? I have NFI.
  24. Posters worried about BBB having to fly need to remember that it's only a short hop (not much more than an hour) from Melbourne to Adelaide, not a long flight to Perth, Darwin or Cairns for example.
  25. Bowie had many records to be proud of, but he preferred to be called David.
