  1. Australia Post is entirely unpredictable at the moment. I bought an item from a Sydney eBay seller a week ago and received the parcel in regional Victoria today.
  2. Sounds like the Hawthorn members said far Kew.
  3. Yes, mate. None of it interests me in the slightest.
  4. I strongly suspect that I'm the only Demonlander who hasn't spent a brass razoo on merchandise or memorabilia and have no intention of doing so. I watched the game and will always have that experience and the joyous memory of our triumph. Should that memory ever need refreshing, there is no shortage of replays and highlights on the internet to watch.
  5. I've still got an item of clothing from 2000 that fits me perfectly. It's a very nice scarf, too.
  6. Surely his nickname is "Motorhead".
  7. Yes, it looks very healthy. He's even got some growing in the gutter!
  8. Given that he served as Premier of Tasmania, you'd have to say so. However, Brian Dixon served 18 years in the Victorian Government after being elected in 1964 while still playing for Melbourne. I can't imagine that happening these days! Dixon was probably best remembered for introducing the "Life. Be In It." campaign while he was the Minister for Youth, Sport & Recreation.
  9. Geez, keep your shirt on bub. 1. I didn't report it, SEN did. I just posted a link to their article. 2. The facts are as stated in the SEN article. No "blasphemy" was committed. 3. I know. I never criticised the club. I think you might need to go a have a Bex and a nice lie-down before you blow a gasket.
  10. In racing parlance, prefer others.
  11. Joyce Brown, who coached Australia in netball with phenomenal success (and is the mother of former Carlton player Fraser Brown) was at one stage in the 90s being touted as a serious candidate for coaching an AFL team.
  12. Posted five hours ago.
  13. How precious of you, seeing as you're the one who responded to a perfectly reasonable post about people working together and doing the right thing to minimise the chances of an outbreak happening again and twisted it into a vehicle for you to attack Daniel Andrews and the way the pandemic had been managed. You deserved to be face-palmed for hijacking the thread to suit your own political bias when the initial comment that raised your hackles was merely about everybody co-operating and following protocols for the sake of us all and taking responsibility for their own actions.
  14. His son Stephen also played for Melbourne and later served on the Board.
  15. I'll say it again and, this time, perhaps move your lips and read slowly in an effort to understand. I'm talking about the possibility of the recent re-opening being jeopardised by people not observing the COVID compliance practices and the anticipated kneejerk response to blame the Government if such slackness were to cause a setback in our progress towards something approaching normality.
  16. George's nickname has to be Gog, which I guess makes Jess's nickname Magog.
  17. You've completely missed the point in your rush to bash anything to do with Labor. What I'm saying is that people will always look for somebody else to blame when their lives are impacted even if it is their own selfish and thoughtless behaviour that caused those problems. In this instance, that behaviour is the loose compliance by business operators that BDA has observed. This isn't about politics or which party is in power.
  18. It's been invented for some time now. Try daansystems.com>radiodelay.
  19. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/big-mac-andrew-bulks-up-ahead-of-afl-draft-20211027-p593q0.html Nice write-up about Mac in today's 'Age'.
  20. I know where you're coming from, but it would mean that a "penalty" might be no more than, say, five metres if the offence occurs 55m from goal. This is clearly no punishment at all for flouting the rule.
  21. It's not a matter of one or the other. I would prefer neither of them. That's why I mute the commentary.
  22. Does Chesser play for the Knights?
