Dees for Punt Rd
Richmond's threat to leave Punt Road if they don't get their way seems hollow to me. They would be the only ones to suffer if they took that action so the threat is meaningless.

Clearly not an example of Shiel be Wright.

When was the last time you watched Melbourne lose?
I think I may hold the record here. It was round 9 in 1998 and we lost to Essendon at the MCG after a stirring win the previous week at the same venue against Collingwood. Lyon, Viney and Stynes were among those still playing for the Demons. Haven't been to a game since for reasons many and varied. Come at me.

We were shaken, but not stirred.

NON-MFC: Round 07, 2022
Not for a long time, binny. Drew Banfield in 1992 and Michael Gardiner in 1996 are their only number one draft picks.

Merch/Memorabilia
Seventeen Grand Finals as either a player or coach for ten wins (and a draw).

3 + 1 = 4 which was Norm Smith's number. I can hear that Twilight Zone theme playing.

CASEY: Rd 06 vs Box Hill
Matt Buntine was clearly rated as a junior, being taken at pick 5 in the 2011 draft. Adam Tomlinson went at pick 9 in the same draft.

Training Ground?
My dear old grandfather was very familiar with turf. He smoked about 30 of them a day.

Indeed. What about him?

Why?

Ranking the Wing Dynamic Duos
Just missed out but could get a gig as the injury sub. He'd be great for team morale. I can just picture him running around after we score a goal and handing out the high four and a halves to his teammates.

2022 Free Kick Differential
I still have a little booklet (12 x 7.5cm) from 1964 titled "Laws of the Australian National Game of Football", distributed by the manufacturers of Viscount Cigarettes (!), with the approval of the Australian National Football Council. As you might expect, the rules are few and quite straightforward. As you might also expect, the booklet contains advertising for Viscount which in those days sold for 3 bob (30 cents) for a pack of 20. A handball is defined as "holding the ball in one hand and hitting it with the other hand".

NON-MFC: Round 6, 2022
It's one of those games where you're dirty that one team will have a win but ecstatic that one of them will lose. A draw would be my preferred result with both teams feeling like they missed out. edit: I'm talking about the Collingwood v Essendon game.

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Daniel Turner? I don't think he's played a game this year because of injury and, when fit, would make his comeback at Casey to continue his development as a promising defender.

AFL Friend or Foe
It was James Kelly wasn't it? I have always enjoyed defeating Collingwood more than any other team and probably always will. In a blanket finish for second most disliked, I'd nominate Essendon, Carlton, Geelong, Richmond and Hawthorn. It's probably no coincidence that these teams have won multiple flags and regularly belted us over the years.
