  1. Over 50 views and only one poster brave enough to have a go so far. Alas for said intrepid Demonlander, the answer is not that they form double acts in showbiz.
  2. Here we go ladies and germs, back for a short time only and by popular demand (Lucifer's Hero demanded it and she IS very popular), it's another timewaster. For those who came in late, your challenge is to identify what the players in this team, who are named in position, have in common. If you think you know the solution, please send it to me in a PM so I can drag this out for as long as possible. Incorrect answers, other helpful information and clues (not guaranteed) will be posted as I see fit. Prizes will awarded as follows: First: What Paddy shot at mo64 Second: Not a sausage reynolds46 Third: Bugger-all 3183 Dee B: Mark McVeigh Robbie Tarrant Nick Maxwell H/B: Phil Read Peter Foster Paul Wheatley C: Simon Atkins Greg Williams Paul Kelly H/F: Luke Parker Oscar Allen Farren Ray F: Liam Ryan Barry Hall Bailey Smith R: Mark Lee Scott West Nathan Jones I/C: Max Walker Michael Barlow Lewis Taylor Chris Bond
  3. Turner out for a month with facial fracture/s, alas. Tomlinson wasn't in the team so can't be an "out". He might even be an inclusion.
  4. Although his step-father Fabian played one game for us, I doubt he'll go anywhere but Adelaide (the city).
  5. We have more. Gawn, McDonald, Turner, Smith and Howes that we know about. Queries over Melksham, Rosman and Daw according to other posters.
  6. I've come up with a couple of new ones, the first of which will appear latish tomorrow afternoon, which is the time our attention is usually focussed on team selection for the weekend's game.
  7. No tigers in Africa!
  8. Max's injury might be a window for Daw.
  9. Isn't it a 10 day "break" before we play Brisbane? If Saturday to Saturday is a 7 day break (6 days off and play on the 7th) and Saturday to Friday is a 6 day break (5 days off and play on the 6th), surely Monday to Thursday week is 10 days (9 days off and play on the 10th).
  10. All this talk about changes to the team and moving players into different positions. I dunno. Maybe it's all just mental and the boys need to do something positive and find a way to bond again, possibly by all going out together as a team and sitting down for a nice meal at a fancy restaurant.
  11. 46 goals in 120 games. Yep, he'd be a natural up forward.
  12. I'm sorry to inform you that things will only get worse over the next week or so. I've got a couple of new brainteasers to unleash during the bye round.
  13. Smith may as well not been on the ground. Didn't get a single touch.
  14. As much as I'd love it if he turn out to be a good player, alas, that's looking less likely. That's my opinion. Having stated it, I don't intend to keep posting it again and again and again like you do.
  15. So you keep saying, old dee. Ad nauseam. We get it. You don't rate Weideman.
  16. It may be at least 20 years away, but I can't wait until we draft Jacob van Rooyen's offspring under the father-son rule. Bring on JVR JNR!
  17. I won't stand for any cwiticism of Jacob van Wooyen. Yours etc, E. Fudd
  18. So many posters in this thread remind me of the teenager who hears rumours that his girlfriend is going to dump him so starts telling his mates that he doesn't think she's much chop anyway.
  19. I wonder if that's an error and it's meant to read Josh Smith? Josh was named last week and I was fooled into thinking that perhaps Joel had made a miraculous recovery. On the other hand, it does list Joel's #44. The thick plottens.
  20. Nothing to see, except: * Essendon were disqualified from the 2013 finals. * They were fined $2 million * They were stripped of first and second round draft picks in 2013 and 2014 * James Hird was banned from football for 12 months * Danny Corcoran copped a six months ban * Mark Thompson was fined $30,000 * Stephen Dank received a lifetime ban * 34 players received a 12 month ban So, apart from all those things ...
  21. First time I've heard that one. Where and by whom was it reported?
  22. I've asked the same question a couple of times JD and, if anybody knows, they're not saying. I hope it's got nothing to do with that oyster who went to a disco and pulled a mussel.
  23. Have we found out yet why he earned the nickname 'Disco'?
