I ended up writing the number of the quarter directly into the URL i.e. q2 q3 etc, that worked for me

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JOSHUA WAGNER
Bang Na Demon replied to DemonLad5's topic in Melbourne Demons
A touch suprised this thread hasn't been reprised yet after watching the Port Dees game. His game really impressed me, not a heap of it but looks very comfortable at this level, makes good decisions and executes well -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY
Bang Na Demon replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
JKH is way above Kennedy is in terms of decision making and disposal. I watched a couple of games with Kennedy playing and yes, quick(ish), goes hard and very competative but seems rushed, lacks vision and coughs the ball up a lot with vague nothing kicks. Hope he really comes on and proves me wrong ! -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MITCHELL WHITE
Bang Na Demon replied to The Red Fox's topic in Melbourne Demons
Not only is he a long kick but sees thing quickly and has nice touch with the short passes too -
Rohan is also an Essendon supporter

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - AARON VANDENBERG

Slow would be the only knock from those highlights -
X2. Hack of the highest order

I just watched the replay and in no way did the umpires affect the outcome, we benefited from some iffy decisions too The free against Watts to Wingard is a free every day of the week and if the teams and decision were reversed I suspect this site would be in meltdown for it not being paid. The well documented lack of composure in the final minutes when we had possession and the lead cost us the game

Not sure why all the hand wringing over the free against Watts at the end of the 3rd. He spoilt the ball cleanly but unfortunately collected Wingard in the face on the follow through. A free every day of the week

Could add Tom McDonald to that list as well

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MAX KING
Bang Na Demon replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Extremely impressed by the King and very excited for his future A beautiful, fluent kick and despite being an undersized 18yo, looked more likely than Spencer in ruck contests. The agility he showed in the goal he kicked was eye opening for a guy his size -

I drove down Punt Rd Tuesday morning and many of the boys were on the track with balls in use -

I suspect the rise of Brodie Grundy last year had more to do with his departure than differing opinions with the coach. For the record, in my professional capacity as a photographer I've photographed Buckley and, unlike many AFL footballers I've worked with, found him very approachable and easy to talk to. Confident yes but FIGJAM no.

Having watched his higlights package I agree with the recent comments regarding Freeman's possible short comings . As well as Lennon the players who really impressed me were Luke Dunstan, not quick but makes great decisions and laser like by hand or foot, the other was Chris Cain, quick, clean and two sided

Can poor kicks ever improve?
Bang Na Demon replied to La Dee-vina Comedia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Todd Viney's kicking definitely got better further into his career. Partly that was decision making as he would look to buy as much time possible to get properly balanced before kicking and wouldn't try and get too cute with the kicks- 77 replies

Thats the impression I got from the Youtube footage of him. He's not what you would call proactive when the ball is in dispute.

I love him. Always trying to make something happen and great evasive skills

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BILLY STRETCH
Bang Na Demon replied to e25's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sorry. The most vivid memory I have of the 1988 Grand Final was Steven Stretch, in miles of space on a wing during the first Quarter, spill a simple mark because he heard Dippa's footsteps. It was soft beyond belief. -

Bang Na Demon replied to H_T's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Viney is not worth pick 2-4 or thereabouts which considering I've heard the words 'lacks acceleration' assigned to him, he may well not, why not let them have him? We already have Jones, Moloney and Trengove in that catergory -
It's not only the mid field that lacks pace
Bang Na Demon replied to Harrisonrules's topic in Melbourne Demons
agility is something that can compensate for speed. Peter Walsh was a great example, his great evasive skills used to buy him time and space and compensate greatly for lack leg speed -

If its true he met the indigenous as a group not affording them an individual meeting as the non indigenous players, its is a disgrace and racism of the highest order. I hope its not so.
