Spargo, Sharp or Culley???????
Absolutely. Check out Sparg's involvement in the chain for Kossie's goal Petty handballed him, his footy IQ is off the charts, Sam Mitchell-esq (My favourite non Demon)

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs GWS
Surprised no one seems to have said it already but XL would have to be favorite for the rising star nomination after that outstanding debut. Did he make a skill or decision error all game? I was impressed with Jeffo too. He competed well, was defensively sound and got good wheels. Hendo showed a bit too. I suspect he'll be playing a lot of senior football this year

Luke Jackson back to Victoria?
My thoughts too

The Roy George Thread
Wow! Got some moves, looks like the game's in slow motion for him. Just as happy to go left or right foot although kicking looks a bit iffy but hope we get him. Some serious looking upside there

Welcome to Demonland: Aidan Johnson
Hardness on steroids by those highlights. Love him!

Assuming we keep 5 & 9, who are you picking?
The last early selection I fixated on we took the player I wanted. I was ecstatic! He'll turn our fortunes around I thought. His name was Jimmy Toumpas

Watching him this year I was seriously impressed with some of his tools. Excellent kick at all distances. Very strong thru the core, a good overhead mark and makes good decisions with ball in hand

What was your excuse?
Despite living in Bangkok and wimping out (as I have for every match this year) I still take out a premium membership so my seat was paid for

Christian Petracca’s 2024 Season Ending Injuries
I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet but the Coll player on Trac's other side bumped him into Moore's knee. Very unfortunate but purely accidental the whole thing

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Geelong
I just finished the replay after watching live. On second viewing we were more dominant than I realised. We made them play on our terms significantly more than they made us play on theirs. The Cats are also a bloody good team As for Chris Scott's mealy mouthed post game presser saying they were off and had their chances. Maybe but he ignored the fact we had way more chances to win and did

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs Carlton
Just finished the replay and he's been spoken of much already but Laurie really impressed me. At the beginning of last year I thought he was a spud but last night his inside work distributing the ball was outstanding. He makes great decisions with and without ball in hand and goes when he has to and a great side step, reminds me a touch of Sam Mitchell. Here's hoping he can develop as good non dominant side disposal as he did

VFL scratch match
Turner also kicked 18 behinds which worried me

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Carlton
I've put my professional photographer (30 years)and sleuth hat on, poured over the footage of Trac's nearly match winner and come to the conclusion the ump probably got it right. The behind and in front of goal footage is inconclusive other that going through it frame by frame which shows no clear finger bend from the ball being touched but If you look at the goal post camera footage it's clear his outstretched left hand at no point is anywhere near the ball BUT WAIT If watch Marchbank's right arm as the ball passes you can see its shadow from the lights suggesting the ball is very very very close, most definitely in brushing distance and if you watch him on the ground suggesting he touched it he initially points to his left hand then quickly changes it to his right
