  1. An absolute beauty

That makes sense. Playing with your mate Eddie Betts doesn't seem like a strong enough reason to completely dispel talking to another club Wonder if MFC knows this too and is the reason they said if he's not interested neither are we? May and KK would have been the first people they spoke to
  3. Hopefully Spargo too can become the completely dual sided kicker and best handballer in the comp Mitchell was. Here's hoping...
  4. I feel for JKH and always had a soft spot for him. Only being 173cm with no pace or amazing side step he's always going to be well down any pecking order but he worked extremely hard and had ambition with ball in hand. Pity his goal kicking at senior level went to [censored] the last couple of seasons cause that could have saved him
  5. The most interesting thing he said was referring to younger players who will initially do anything for the team then sometimes stray from that ethos at the next stage of development. That's exactly what we saw this year
  6. Relax I`m sure the Oscar McDonald contract extension negotiations are well underway and Josh Wagner is locked up

Apparently what impressed Roosy about Goody when looking for his successor was he spoke more about club culture than game plans

Probably add 'but great character' to slow and unskilled
  9. I watched the 1989 grand final recently, one of the 'great' grand finals and the almost complete lack of tackling that day annoyed the bejesus out of me. Watching players with the ball waltz past opponents as though they were witches hats I started saying to myself, FFS tackle him!
  10. It was close but the Doggies hunt just seemed that bit better than ours, we were rarely breathing down their necks they way they were with us. Kinda story of the year. Great to see Petty do so well forward, he's such a natural footballer
  11. Was really impressed by the way The Pies ground their way back into the game last night. They did exactly what we can't manage, they were dominated then just stopped the opposition, nothing pretty and the rest came from there. Our defensive workrate has been seriously wanting much of this year
  12. As the game wore on, all I wanted to see was our mids put Brisbane's under pressure. I didn't care if it degenerated into total ugly and forget talk of our forward line, the ease with which they constantly exited congestion was where we lost the game. Do our much vaunted midfield think the defensive stuff is below them?
  13. I was happy to see us take them on and try and attack and but you gotta work both ways lads. The defensive efforts in our forward line and around the contest were deplorable. I haven't seen us spanked so comprehensibly at the coal face for a long time and it was all about effort
  14. I liked the smirk because he's not getting down on himself then potentially missing them all. Would liked to have seen Trac do that after his run of outs
  15. The same way we've been beat the last xxx years, smashed on the outside. Collingwood's defensive pressure was outstanding and we didn't match there, particularly on the spread

Not only great straight line speed but really good evasive skills too

Isaac Heeney and Australian cyclist Sascha Bonderenko-Edwards
  18. I copped a groin injury during pre season and it stopped me playing for the year. The pain after it cooled down that night and for quite some time after was severe. Even swimming 2/3 months later I needed a float between my legs such was the discomfort if my legs kicked. Like Steven May I had a scan and it showed nothing. When I saw Joel Smith still running around in the Lions game and it was known he had a groin injury I was yelling at the monitor (I'm in Bangkok) Get him the [censored] off now!
  19. Neville Jetta says hello too

I`m in Bangkok. I still maintain my premium MFC membership which my son benefits from and of course my AFL Overseas subscription
  21. Pittonet was the difference. Gave their mids an armchair ride round the clearances
  22. I`ll be watching in my Bangkok lounge room and if they win,,have Skyscanner up quicker than you can say Sam Weiderman booking my flight back for the big dance. So glad I kept my premium membership up!
  23. I didn't see today's game but those loopy kicks where what stood out to me when I watched his draft highlights package
  24. Overall I agree. Watching Hunt it's like he has a very narrow focus. I suspect he's trying to enact things the coaches are working on with him at the expense of his all round game and freedom he usually plays with
  25. We're still a bit of the pace. There was a passage of play in the 3rd quarter where we were tentatively handballing it around in front of goal and no one wanted to kick the goal despite completely dominating possession. Like the leaking of soft junk time goals it was the play of a team lacking ruthlessness and some self belief
