  1. Is it a Schwarz-tie event?
  2. Doesn't everyone? Last I checked, kids don't have beards.
  3. Wouldn't have been sacked if he was any good at footy.
  4. Future AFL senior coach, no doubt (as I've said many times before).
  5. It interesting that only one of those factors has actually turned out to be the case.
  6. I must be the only person in Australia who was on board with the Chris Dawes trade from the very beginning.

Also, what about the kicking in danger rule? Does that not exist anymore?
  8. Suprisingly, this was much less of a bitter pill to swallow than the Bulldogs loss. I suppose when you go into a game thinking you're no chance and spend most of the first quarter suspecting you'll end up losing by a hundred points, a relatively narrow loss is quite a steal. On the other hand, spending all game thinking you're going to win and then still losing it to a nothing team like the Dogs is very frustrating.
  9. This is looking like Bulldogs Mk II. The better team for the majority of the game, but still end up losing.
  10. Love that Toumpas and Salem teamwork. They look like twins out there. Gonna love watching them for the next 15 years.
  11. Did the same against the Bulldogs. Have we learned yet or not?
  12. Cam Pederson is proving every Melbourne supporter to be a right dill.
  13. Anyone who reckons Dean Terlich doesn't deserve to be in this side is an out-and-out not-smart-person. PS "i-diot" is censored? Seriously?
  14. Almost as good as Sydney's, and with none of the salary cap rorting.
  15. I s'pose we should all just stay in bed all day then.

All you conspiracy theorists who reckon he won't go because he's from Collingwood are in la-la land.
  17. THE DAYS OF DOMINATION ARE OVER!!!
  18. Your thread title describes every news article ever written.
  19. So has Roos signed for the third year or not? If yes, then yay! If no, then we should probably retitle the thread.
  20. I think a system whereby players could get fined for not approaching potentially dangerous situations with proper care for their own bodies is potentially a good idea. A player who goes in head-first to a contest when going in hip first would have been a viable option should be disinsentivesed to do so. It would reduce the number of injuries and potentially save the AFL a lot of drama down the road with regard to concussion problems.
  21. I feel just the same way about Dangerfield. Flashy, but ultimately considerably less valuable than his highlights suggest. I'd pick Fyfe before Dangerfield, though Danger's a better leader so we'd likely need his type more than a younger player like Fyfe.
  22. I hope we don't play Jack Grimes as a tagger. He's about a million times more useful as a third-man up defender playing on medium-to-small forwards like Robbie Gray than he is trying to shut down a dangerous midfielder.
  23. You have to be a listed player in order to be a free agent. Delisted players are unrestricted free agents, but that doesn't apply to retired players. If it did, then any player could "retire" and go to any club they wanted, whenever they wanted.
  24. If he ever returned, he'd just nominate for the draft like anyone else. We would have no special claim to him, but you'd like to think that no other club would take him before our first pick. After that it would be fair game.
