I said this earlier in the year but every poor game Trengove plays this year, he can be excused because of his heavily injury interrupted pre-season. If he wasn't captain he would of played for Casey for 3-5 weeks. However if there's no improvement next year after a healthy pre-season, then it's panic stations for Trenners.

Sell the farm for him. Where do I sign?
-
Craig's chances blew up in smoke the day we let GWS run all over us in the last qtr which followed a 4.4.28 effort the previous week.

Any idea how much was raised? $2 million or so?

Anyone who saw Yarran in his 3 goal performance in round 4 v West Coast would be crying out for his services.

Pick 2 on the table.

Why would Adelaide trade Sloane? Isn't it the idea to retain your quality dependable players? -
Second last in the league for points against.I'm not sure if that's what I'd call fixing the defence.

Oh well, it was 87 points closer than I thought it would be. Watts was Stirling, Spencer looked ok, Kent has a future with his run and carry and goals on the run, Viney deserves a rising star, Jones had another 29 and is our best player, McKenzie is best 22 and loved his goal late in the game. We didn't have any of Dawes, Clark or Hogan which are our key forwards of 2014. GC were down to one rotation in the last qtr which flattered our minimal loss.

Rubbish team. Gold Coast by a flat 100.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

I reckon essendon would rather be thrown out of the AFL than have Hird stand down. A rare case where one person is actually bigger than the club. -
At least Pederson got a vote in the coaches awards V GWS.

So Jamar will miss the final 11 games of the season and he missed about 8 games last year. Can anyone see the point in having this list clogger hanging around for the next 2 years. Mfc list management at its finest / (crappest)

FIRE UP FRAWLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Frosty Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Oh dear. Frawley's killed most of his opponents this year. I reckon he would've kept Cameron to 1 or 2 on the weekend. -
Would it be out of the realms of possibility they rush him back for the Bulldogs game? He's not on the long term injury list right?
-
Was this the game when Neeld said we were intimidated and out muscled by a 3rd year club- in his presser after the game?
-
McKenzie will come back in. I don't particularly rate him, but how can you not bring in your number 1 tagger (coming off a 30 possession game at Casey) to take on G Ablett? Howe should be dropped or played in a position where he can have more of an impact - wing or half back flank. Is Magner eligble to play?
-
I hope GWS win another game. While I don't take any joy in getting the spoon, I like the fact that about 12 clubs will be knocking on our door trying to get T Boyd off our hands.

Was it just me or did everyone's favourite whipping boy Pederson actually play well yesterday?

Over to you Peter Jackson - Supporters are Broken

Bumped into PJ and Mahoney before the game. I asked them if we're a chance today and PJ responded with an animated shrug of the shoulders and said "DUNNO!" This bloke is clearly frustrated and means business. -
If get thrashed today it shows to me that the players have officially put the cue in the rack for 13' (not that it was really off the rack at any stage)
-
I'm not a massive rap for Pederson but at least he took 11 marks last week, including a couple of contested.
-
Good idea. Gold Coast badly want a franchise key forward of the future, in the mould of Tom Boyd. I'd be talking with them for sure if we had pick 1 and Swallow has gone a bit under the radar this year - seems to be a bit behind Prestia, O'Meara, Bennell and Harbrow in the midfield pecking order.
-
Can't work out the rationale behind playing 3x 200+ cm giraffes in Gawn, Fitz and Spencer. GWS are full of running midfielders while we've fielded the tallest team in history. I suppose with Dawes out, i expect Fitz to play 100% up forward, and Gawn to swap with Spencer in the ruck and forward pocket. It's still too tall for my liking.
