I knew he was gone after the round 8 2011 loss v's North at Etihad, a game he was out injured. About half an hour before the game, I found a parking spot right next to Scully, as he was getting out of his car. Right after the siren I walked back to the car park to get the hell out of there after another crap loss, and upon returning to my car, Scully's car had already left. I know it was only a little thing, but it showed to me that his heart wasn't in it with the MFC and I was convinced he was gone at that point.

I'd see him as the opposite.Last in line for selection but there as an insurance policy if we get a ton of injuries, and there to play the last 4 or 5 games of the year when Petracca, Brayhaw, JKH etc hit the wall like the kids did in 2014.
-
I'd take him. Useful midfield depth when we've got injuries or need to give the kids a rest. Used to be my favourite player. Tanking aside I reckon he loves the club. Wasn't he the only player to donate to the club from his own pocket.

At the end of 2015, I think Trengove will either retire or request a trade. The poor kid needs a change of scenary. I think the failed trade to Richmond was the last straw. Just my opinion.

It's confirmed that will Ablett will be playing in the Nab Challenge.Already training. Ablett will be playing rd 1.
-
Yeah he lost the plot in the last game. Got himself suspended and gave away 2 50mts penalties. Very irresponsible and pathetic leadership that day.
-
Ablett will be playing round 1.He's already back training. Even if he wasn't right, they'd play him in the fwd pocket all day.
-
I actually reckon the player we're dearly missing in our fwd line is Jurrah. The last time we were half way competetive (2010 & 2011) was when Jurrah was averaging 2.5 goals a game. He would've kicked 40 goals for us in 2014, and probably would've seen us win 2 or 3 more games. On McCartin, as someone else mentioned, Turner chronically overrates his kids at Geelong u18s. That being said I'll be seriously excited if we pick him up.
-
He should seek mentoring from Liam Jurrah to get him on the straight and narrow.
-
Knowing us we'll probably overlook Petracca.McCartin would be really good for us I reckon.
-
Great news that we're passing up Lever!Means we're more than likely going Brayshaw and McCartin.

Alternative strip for 2015?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
We've always worn our traditional jumper vs Gold Coast when we've been the away team (2011 and 2013).Gold Coast once wore their white clash strip against us in 2013 at the MCG, but every other year they've worn the usual red strip. So in conclusion, the afl don't view melbourne v golf coast as a clash. -
Alternative strip for 2015?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I like them. Anyone like to take a guess as to what games we'll use them in: Red: St Kilda Carlton White: GWS Freo Bulldogs Adelaide -
Although it must be said that Denham didn't actually infer that there was a dispute. More of an opinion piece than anything. I will start to question the point of continuing to barrack for the club if they let Jones walk due to finances.
-
I know we're planning to land a big fish next year, but let's first focus on extending the contract of our best player first. If Jones leaves due to money (not because he wants the cheap way to success like Frawley, Rivers or Clark) then whatever achievements credited to Roos and Jackson so far would be flushed down the dunny. He deserves to be over paid. No other mfc player does. He sure as hell deserves more than Dawes, and it's an embarrassment that he's not.

We could do worse than Broughton. Can remember him kicking the sealer against us earlier this year with a lovely set shot.

Training - Friday November 14, 2014
Bring-Back-Powell replied to The Devil Inside's topic in Melbourne Demons
Can you ask Chip if he's staying? -
This is why we'll never get out of the bottom 4. Players in their prime leaving while the good clubs keep their guns. Dunn is the only senior/good player of note that has stayed loyal, and full credit to him. (So has Grimes but you can tell he genuinely loves the club) Can you imagine how bad we'll be in 2016 if we lost both Jones and Howe.
-
Does this mean we now have picks 40 and 53 to use?
-
Given I have no confidence in the club selecting top 10 draft picks, I'd have to say Frawley. He was the only player on our list capable of containing a Hawkins, Franklin or Roughead to an extent. His absense down back will hurt us greatly.

if If st Kilda go Brayshaw, would it be possible we overlook both Petracca and McCartin?

Where do we finish on the ladder next year?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to CBDees's topic in Melbourne Demons
Will be bitterly disappointed if we can't snag 6 wins next year. 6 wins finishing 15 or 16th.
