Who cares if they get one. They're an absolute basket case and one extra draft pick ain't going to solve their problems.

Saturday nights going to be an anti climax if North beat Hawthorn.

The do we need Jesse? (Semi serious thread)
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Redjacket's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nar no need for a bloke that had a 7 goal game in his 25th game of footy -
Tom McDonald (and Oscar) SIGNS.

If T Mac goes we don't play finals next year. full stop. -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 20

Roos was signed in September 2013 and I'm pretty sure we traded Michie in during October 2013. So wouldn't that make Michie a 'Paul Roos' recruit? -
Tom McDonald (and Oscar) SIGNS.

Tommy must have also been snaky when we offered Hooker a large amount of money -

Was GNF not the bloke who said Roos was coming in 2013? -
Any chance we give him a mini token farewell game in one of the last couple of games? I wouldn't be opposed to it.

If true, I'd expect Essendon to throw in a first rounder as a sweetener... -

Yeah I agree, you'd think the club would've given him a new 2 year deal already, considering he's had a golden ticket at selection all year. -
Brilliant quote that. Sums up today's game.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 19
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Probably overplayed Brayshaw this year and perhaps underplayed Oliver this year?? -
Given that we've got stuff all players on the injury list, it would be pretty disappointing and bleak for next year if today was our last win for the year, or even a loss. Port and Carlton are pretty much in our weight division and we should be aiming to beat both of them. I'm never confident winning, but today I am. We should smash their 3rd world midfield and ultimately win it right there.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 19
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm suggesting he should entertain other clubs that will give him a more regular opportunity...he's struggled to break in all year despite excellent Casey form. Then the one week he returns, he does ok and then gets dropped straight away. I don't think there's much of a future for him as a half forward flank, which is where we've played him in his 3 games this year. -

ANB should be phoning his manager tonight exploring opportunities. He showed a bit last week and deserved at least another week. -

I'll be devastated if we lose purely because of our weak defense. Surely our midfield is that far superior to their depleted one, and that will prove to be the difference. -

An almost full strength side against a depleted midfield missing Ablett, Prestia, Rischitelli, Hall, O'Meara and Swallow. A loss here would be nearing Essendon round 2 territory. I just want the 4 points, but we should be winning by 6 goals. -
Our goal kicking conversion has been excellent this year (58%, which is equal best with West Coast) so I think we could be excused for last week. I think we've only kicked more behinds than goals in the Port, Sydney, Freo and WC games.

GC will beat us if all of Lynch, Day and Wright dominate. -
I see Collingwood are another victim of 'hosting' an Etihad tenant at Etihad. Well played AFL.

Pedersen should be playing as a key defender for the rest of the year to help out the children down back. -

8-13-1 in 2011. I think we were 7-7-1 after beating Port in round 17 that year. I hope we don't end 2016 like we did 2011. -

I think Vandenberg's contract states that he's prevented from being omitted to Casey, and can only play there when coming back from his constant injuries. I don't mind him as a player but think he's had a golden run at selection over others. -
Fondest Melbourne Demons memory
Bring-Back-Powell replied to The Sailing Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Surprised and yet not surprised not many (if any) nominated Neeld's first win as a coach. Round 10 2012 V's the 9-1 juiced up Bombers. We were probably $11 or $12 to win the game. Won a scrappy game by 6 points and we all treated it like a premiership win as did the players. You'd think the players absolutely loved Neeld as they were giving him massive hugs and cuddles after the siren. Blokes like Magner, Mitch Clark, James Seller and Sam Blease were running amok that night. Ahh... 2012 sure were the glory days!
