To counter your argument, Preuss was also involved in our worst and most gutless performance of the year Vs St Kida. That was the game where basically every one of our inside 50’s that wasn’t marked by one of our forwards was automatically rebounded by St Kilda. The worst display of inside 50 ball retention I’ve witnessed from an MFC side, and clearly Preuss was one of the main reasons for that.

Good, sounds like we're going all in. In - May, Lever, Hore, Salem Out - Wagner, O Mac, JFK, Stretch. Melksham, VDB and Jetta are our only best 22 certainties out. Lewis and probably ANB are available for good depth. Starting from the Freo game after the bye (as May and Lever would've shaken the rust off) we should be winning more than we lose. Pure and simple. Excuses are over. The honey moon period for Goodwin is well and truly over.

Good. A half fit Lever will give us more than a McDonald. I know Lever will struggle in his first game back, but at least he'll get an AFL game under his belt and hopefully be close to cherry ripe V Freo after the bye.

I'm neither a fan nor a basher but he did kick 2 goals and played well against Hawthorn in a high stakes semi final as an 18 year old. That has to count for something.

Grundy played the game out so the odd would say he's highly likely to play. Both Grundy and Gawn nullified each other last year and neither player was in their team's best.

I’ve noticed that too. I can’t recall playing too many sides with multiple injuries to their best 22 aside from say Richmond and Port. Sydney had a few out as well. Another bug bear of mine is the opposition’s continued amazing accuracy. 6 out of the last 7 weeks the opposition has kicked more goals than behinds. One of the last 6 weeks we’ve kicked more goals than behinds. Furthermore, our combined opposition score for the season is going at 60% accuracy for the season which is the most accurate in the Comp. In other words we’re letting out opposition kick the most accurate scores which is killing us. Compare that to Adelaide who’s opposition have gone at a combined 45% which is the least accurate in the Comp.

Forgot about that. When you see one of our 5"6 little nippers on one of the premier defenders in the league, you'd have to say our coach has probably lost the tactical battle in the coaches box.

It usually takes this current regime a week later than the rank and file to work out an obvious selection. Bringing in a grossly out of form Spargo instead of Lewis for Salem last week was a bush league standard selection. Next week they’ll select JFK and drop Spargo after his inevitable 4 possession game. Selection has been one of the 999 reasons we’re having such a poor year.

Good ins if that's the case. JFK is a small upgrade over Stretch, C Wagner, Lockhart and Spargo. I'd probably keep Stretch only because he had a good game in Darwin last year. Happy for the other 3 to go to Casey. Rumour on Adelaide Bigfooty board that Matt Crouch didn't get selected, which if true, is a win for us.

I remember and was hoping Lynch would miss this game. According to Adelaide's Bigfooty board, Lynch and M Crouch trained really well today and will likely play - because of course it's 2019, and this year sucks!

Exactly. I wonder how Richmond or Collingwood would go if they had to replace their 6-7 injured players with the above lot. They are simply not good players at all.

Careful. You're not allowed to bag Pert around here. They'll all tell you it's a complete coincidence and a freak occurrence that we're 3-7 with almost the worst percentage in the league and 90% of the list going backwards., in the time he's come on board.

Probably an element of truth to that. I'm sure he'd rather be at home with his family as opposed to flying up for 6 hours and playing a meaningless (in the context of our season) game in 28 degree heat

Perhaps some truth into that. It seemed it odd that GWS were happy to let him go considering he had a good season last year. Having a much better year this year.
