Why would “the cheer squad” come after your post with FacePalm emojis? You’re discussing the possibility of trading a player, you’re not disparaging him or calling him useless or a spud etc. Do you expect FacePalm emojies because the player in question is Fritta? What about posts in this thread suggesting trading Spaz? Or Chin Chandler? None of these posts should expect FacePalms because none of them are insulting. Do you see and understand the difference? Are you slowly starting to get it?

Our game vs Essendon at Windy Hill (shudder) is on a Friday at 2pm. When I first saw this I couldn’t believe how dumb it is. But it’s on the 27th of September which is AFL grand final eve meaning it’s a public holiday (in Victoria). Not everyone has that day off, though. But I suppose it’s better than a regular Friday at 2pm.

There’s a praccy match vs Carlton this Friday (Aug 10th) at Ikon at 5pm. Entry is free. Great venue (the girls love playing at Ikon) but terrible start time for a Friday game.

I’d love to see the Giants win their first premiership. To see Jesse and Toby (Snooze) as premiership players would be heartwarming. There’s a lot to like about GWS. Their comms. dept. is the best in the league and their fans are the most tolerable. Their cheer squad members are great. In particular, their banner crew. Funny, friendly people, here’s an example: This is our banner crew for the recent Essendon match… And this is our banner crew for the Giants game, unaware we were being mass-photobombed by their entire banner crew… They even yelled out, “GO DEES” with us as the pics were being taken 🤣 PS: Ricky Lever hopes the Giants win it because they’re far away enough that we don’t have to endlessly hear about it, and I reckon he speaks for many of us. 😁

He certainly is a great player, Dingo. And a great person, too. His best quality is his authenticity. What you see is what you get with Ed. He’s unpredictable in what he says which makes him always interesting. He’s so chill he’s a heartbeat away from a coma, and nothing ever seems to faze him.

The entire session was pretty chill. Not despondency or despair or anything like that, just not as fast-paced and energetic as usual. Very relaxed, like a team who knows they’re not playing finals. But also like a team who knows it’s not the end of the world and that there’s a ton of hope for next season. That’s the vibe I got and it was confirmed by a couple of chats I had with some of the boys (individually). I’ve said it before but the kids are so honest. They’ve yet to learn to only tell a fan what they wanna hear and to keep it brief. 😅
