Just had a lovely chat with Zeets. He was outside Punt Rd because there’s something to report there this morning (the mind boggles). He asked me about being in the cheer squad and what that entails etc. I asked him how he feels about the Dees. He said he respects and admires us and we’re a stable, well-run club. I was about to bid him cheerio when all of the sudden sch!tt got real: he said, “There is one thing I really, really don’t like about the Dees. *my note to self… never EVER leave home without an enormous carving knife, you never know when you might need it* 😅He said, “Your fans simply don’t turn up. It’s very disappointing how few supporters attend your matches.” TBF, he’s kinda got a point. He made the point about us lamenting being the Sunday arvo staple years ago and now that we’re getting prime time we don’t show up. Anyways, they’ll never find his body. 😏

If nobody else turns up I will, DZ. I’m guessing I should look out for Disco, right?

This is my attack “dog”… Yes, she’s a chicken but no one’s successfully invading my house anytime soon. If a stranger approaches her she lets out an otherworldly scream the likes of which can only be heard during a messy murder. Her name is Rooey and she loves cuddles and having her wattles tickled.

Only, some are harder to locate than others. I’m sure there’s plenty of folks who wish they could find mine 😁

I’d say there’d be a Captain’s Run on the Saturday. I can find out tomorrow if this is the case and if so, what time it starts, then post it here. The players warm up about an hour before the match. A good idea is to get into the ground early, when gates open, and make your way down to the fence. The players will often come to fence for selfies and signings during warmup, especially if there’s little kids.

FWIW the Tigers faithful (the cheer squad, anyways. But they’re a reflection of the general fanbase imo) are backing Ooze all the way. That’s not to say the Board are feeling the same, but Ooze knows he has the support of the fans. At the joint banner-making session at Punt Rd I was chatting with the Tiger Army President who told me they’re really happy with securing him as head coach. She made a point of mentioning that “in his first year as coach *Hardwick only racked up two wins.” *She called him Hardwick, not Dimma.

No we don’t.

There’s sure to be thousands of women nominated so the odds aren’t great. 😭 It would be really special but I won’t be upset if my name’s not on one of them. I’d rather see the Dees win the match. Oh and to not have cancer. 👍🏽

Thank you, Zurich 💖 Thank you, MFC ❤️💙 Instead of this… We’ll see this… As some here may remember, this is a cause very close to my heart as I’m a breast cancer survivor. And while this insidious disease never fully leaves my mind, unfortunately it’s currently at the forefront again. I’m so proud of our Club and our principal partner, Zurich. It may seem like a small gesture to forgo a logo on a warm-up top for one match, but it’s actually massive.

I would LOVE to be at our Alice match. I’ve not ever been to one. Unfortunately I won’t be though, it’s beyond my means. It’s one of only two matches I won’t be able to attend this season 😭

As far as we know they’re releasing all rounds BAR the final round (Round 24) which is expected to be released in *four weeks. *Four AFL weeks, not to be confused with four everyone else weeks 🙄
