Everything has changed. Back then you guys hung the floggers over the fence when not in use. We’re not allowed to do that because we’d be obscuring advertising. That’s just one example.

By choice? Or was it because seats behind the goals were most popular therefore harder to get? Nowadays everything is regulated including reserving the bays behind the goals for cheer squads only.

Cheer squads these days aren’t autonomous. They’re governed and the rules are many and varied, especially those applied by the AFL. In some ways that’s not good. But in terms of securing seats behind the goals, it makes sense.

On that basis, he won’t get any weeks. Warner, Heeney and Gulden = golden boys.

Up until now we couldn’t possibly have sat in a worse part of the ground. The wind coming up from the race is bitingly cold, and we’re close enough to their cheer squad to see and hear them which isn’t pleasant. 😁

It’s not fair but unfortunately it’s something that won’t ever change. To make matters more annoying, we can’t sit in the first three rows because of a combination of the fence being too high and the convex field.

At Mordor we sat on the wing (next to the race, absolutely freezing) while construction of the new stand was underway. Now that it’s complete, the Geelong cheer squad sit behind the goals in the new stand and opposition cheer squads sit in their old bay.

That’s a Sydney members only section. We sit in the pocket a few bays around from them.

I actually had a Fritta chook but he turned out to be a boy, likewise Langers. I had to give them up for adoption 😭 I will tell Fritta you think he looks like my chook and it’d be best for everyone involved that you two never meet. 😁
