  1. Just a lil reminder that we are all part of the best Club in the league. 🥰 We’re the only AFL club whose cheer squad has put together a Sleep at the ‘G team, albeit a small one. It’s on tonight and this year we’ve assembled a uniform of sorts. We all bought matching PJ pants… Teamed with various Demons T-shirts and headwear we’re sure to look positively fetching 😅 And these are my “slippers”… 🥳❤️💙
  2. Shane would be delighted. This is a massive injection of confidence for him and confidence is everything when it comes to game-day. So proud of him. ❤️💙
  3. Bowsa’s 50th this weekend. 🥳 Considering he played every match from debuting in 2021 to midway through 2022, this feels like it’s a long time coming. Because some of us are doing Sleep at the ‘G tomorrow night, banner making is tonight. Let’s hope the little ginger one isn’t dropped this week since we’ll be acknowledging his milestone on the banner. #Awkies 😂
  4. I’m gonna make a hobby out of hearing the commentators trying to pronounce ‘Waalitj Marawar’ 😅
  5. I agree rpfc. Mali is an extremely talented artist and her whole family is mad, mad, mad Melbourne. A ton of love went into that design. Mali and KC were interviewed on 360 last night. It was striking how grateful they were to share their story, in particular KC at the end of the interview was so sincere in his thanks to Gerard and Robbo. I saw this for myself on Monday at Gosch’s. I told Mali that when I watched the video how bloody relieved I was to get to the end to discover KC made it through and is now thriving. She said, “Can you do something for me… can you please tell him that?” She called him over (I didn’t realise he was there) and I did just that. What can I say… this kid must hear things like this all the time but he appreciated every word I said. I actually teared up while talking to him and he reached out to hold my hand! What 17yo kid does that??? Massive hugs and gushing about the Dees ensued and it’s a meeting I’ll never forget.
  6. They can put a man on the moon etc... In this age of technological advancement in every facet of life we have driverless cars, 3D printers, robots performing surgery, we’ve landed a vehicle on Mars, the list goes on, and on and on. Why, then, can we not have interviews on TV via satellite WITHOUT that annoying 5-second delay?!?! It’s 2024, not 1954. Surely some boffin or other can figure out a way to do it. PS: my favourite biscuit is the Tim Tam, but not any old Tim Tam, I love the ‘Chewy Caramel’ variety, in particular.
  7. Not these kids. All’s I say is “Hi” and they sing like a canary 😅
  8. Does the fact that he didn’t train yesterday have any bearing on that?
  9. He told me he played really well in the Casey match. Blowing his own trumpet… bless him. 🥹 I asked him if he’s been told anything yet about the possibility of a call-up. He said he hasn’t but they’ve been praising him a bunch. Incidentally, I believe everything he says because he’s a kid and I find the kids never lie. They’ve yet to learn that fans are on a need-to-know basis and mostly they need to know nothing. 😁 The young boys are so honest and they divulge everything, including stuff about which you didn’t even ask. I don’t bother to ask the older seasoned players much since I know their answers may not be the truth. Fair enough, too. Some people are blabber-mouths. Unlike me of course. 😇
  10. YAY! Now I have three jobs. 😁 Soon to be four since I gave Reece the routine reminder that he promised I could have his job when he’s done.
  11. He was. He participated in the full session. Coming back to the tent he was getting pats on the back from Goody. KFW also trained. He said he’s currently playing in the amateurs for St. Bede’s - Mentone with the MFC’s permission and he’s really enjoying it. It was great to see him happy.
  12. They fly to Perth on Friday. Casey play at Casey Fields on Saturday. There’s a Casey Captain’s Run at Gosch’s on Friday morning. It will be interesting to see who gets on the plane.
  13. Yeah, that was worrying during the match, but today he seemed fine. He trained with everyone else.
  14. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/1542776/narrm-guernsey-launch-2024?videoId=1542776&modal=true&type=video This video is really worth watching. Mali is the designer of this season’s Narrm guernsey and she tells the story of her beloved little brother’s second chance at life which is the inspiration for her design. I watched this vid when it was put on the website about a fortnight ago and today I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Mali and her little brother KC who were at Gosch’s. Regardless of how you feel about the guernsey design, you’ll love it once you’ve heard their story.
  15. He trained most of the time with the main group. He spent some time one-on-one with a trainer under the guidance of a physio, and he ran along the boundary in bursts of sprinting while being timed. He looks good and was very upbeat.
  16. Just remembered: Chin trained with everyone else and had no strapping on either knee. Likewise BBB. So there’s that. 🙂
  17. Well it wouldn’t be a WCW training report without at least one meaningless (not insightful) post… Blake Howes has two nicknames around the Club. Half the boys call him Howesy, the others call him Halfway (as in, halfway house) Spargipants hasn’t been missing upper body days at the gym. He took his shirt off while I was chatting to him and Marty and Disco and I said, “whoa SpargiPants! Where’ve you been hiding those (muscles)?” He said, “I know, I look good, right?” I said, “yeah you look great. The only thing that rivals how good you look is your modesty.” I don’t think he understood 😝
  18. Yep. Good news for WA Dees fans: Captain’s Run this Saturday at Optus. Time to be announced later in the week on our website. @WA Demon and other WA fans bring your kidlets as it’s definitely an open session! Selfies and signatures opportunity.
  19. Rooey said he’s sure he’ll only be missing the Eagles match. He was there today running around the boundary before the other boys came out. He said he feels perfectly fine but of course he’s doing everything he’s told to do.
  20. Shane said after playing a full game for Casey on Friday he pulled up very well… no problems whatsoever. Fitness staff are really happy with his condition. He is playing one more full game for Casey (which is this Saturday). He’s been told he’ll be available for our Saints match.
  21. Fullarton didn’t train. He came to the tent for five minutes with the different coloured vest on then went straight back to the rooms.
  22. Disco has a strained calf and will be out for a couple of matches. He’s in really good spirits despite this. He said he’s confident he’ll be back for our Freo match.
