Nah that’s Shazza Nibbla. She sat with us for the game and it was so cool to see her reaction to her boy playing arguably his best ever. Nibs hugged her, Chin hugged her, but the Clarrie hug was extra special because she’s close to Michelle Oliver and she knows in detail the pain his family has been through with those vultures in the media. Mrs Fritta didn’t attend the match last night.

No and I didn’t even bother trying to sleep. Didn’t get home until 10pm last night, talked to Mrs Fritta for an hour about the match, and there was no way I wasn’t gonna watch the replay. Then I was so pumped after watching that I couldn’t sleep so I watched the second half of the GF. Similar vibes.

He also said he reckons most other clubs would envy our culture. He’s about the only one who’s backed us this whole time, so you know he’s not just jumping onboard now that things are on the up.

I just hope i wasn’t crying at the time 😅Fair chance I was though, emotions were running roughshod through the cheer squad for pretty much the entire match. Even folks who aren’t ordinarily as psychotic as, for example, me, ramped it up a notch or 100. There was something different about last night. It’s hard to put into words, except to say it was very, very special.

The entire team came to run along the boundary high-fiving after the match. Ricky Lever though! He went rogue, ran ahead of the others, let loose with a guttural scream that lasted for ages, excitedly waving his arms, absolutely whipping us into a frenzy. It was nuts!!!

I was lol-ing ‘til one of them threw a bottle of water at me from his car while I was waiting to cross at the lights. Unfortunately he was a good shot, it hit me in the head. But some decent Port supporters made sure I was ok and I ended up walking the rest of the way with them. More importantly though… YEAH THE MIGHTY DEES!!! This was one of those matches that you know already you’re never gonna forget. So, so proud of our boys. And so happy for Jack. ❤️💙
