  1. It really can’t be said enough… Rhi Watt is invaluable to our Club. This is the observation of one of our cheer squad members… “We were located on the flank/wing on Sunday and I loved listening to Rhi coaching on field. Calling players, directing where they should be - who to watch. She was exceptional. She is clearly very knowledgeable and well respected by her peers. And, I would say, a coach in waiting.”
  2. The AFL *sigh* they barely give us time to catch our breath before adding in yet another change. I’m still getting over Gather Round. I don’t even understand this one. Is the season a week longer with this? Meanwhile, we now have 18 teams in the W comp yet this season comprises only 10 H&A rounds. I’d lose so much respect for the AFL if I had any to start with.
  3. All good. And I totally agree with you.
  4. If by ‘in the clear’ you mean back to what he was pre-injury, no. He’s technically still rehabbing. He’s overseas right now, with the ok from the Club, but he has to come back earlier than the others because he’s scheduled for the routine tests and x-rays. The main thing they concentrate on is ensuring the plate and the screws are all still in place etc. They’re very happy with how he’s tracking, though.
  5. I never said nor did I imply you’re “full of it” and that’s because I don’t think you are. You’re in all likelihood right and he will be ready early in the season. I was just telling of a convo I had with someone. And I wouldn’t ask Fritta when he thinks HP will be back because he doesn’t know and if he did know, he wouldn’t tell me anyways. That’s how our Club manages to successfully keep things private. For the most part players aren’t even privy to all information about their own injuries, let alone those of their teammates. I do hope you’re spot on and Harry is ready early in the season. 👍🏽
  6. You don’t need to apologise, Tim. Just like in my post, you’ve not made a definite statement. In my case, I told of a conversation I recently had wherein myself and a player’s family member compared the seriousness of two players’ prognoses. By no means a definite statement.
  7. I’ve not seen a single definitive statement re Harry’s injury. On the basis of what you’ve said, no one but medical experts should chime in. Does that also mean re issues of tribunal hearings only legal experts should comment? It’s called a discussion. It’s why fan forums exist.
  8. I wouldn’t bet on it. I say this based only on a conversation about the seriousness of Fritta’s foot injury (different injury, I know) and the long-term treatment and all that goes with that - with a Fritta family member, he ended the conversation with, “… of course, it’s not nearly as serious as Harrison’s injury.”
  9. Hope you’re feeling better soon. 💕 I too really wish I could be there. It sucks having to watch it on TV. Especially when it’s a W match because even one less person there make a difference when there’s not many people to begin with.
  10. https://streamable.com/9p56s2 Not too shabby considering there’s only a small group of the DA who made the trip. ❤️💙
  11. This is what baffles me. Why can’t supporters support a new player unless and until he gives them a reason not to? The ink’s barely dry and “fans” have Tom sitting in the stands watching on, or a piece of the furniture at Casey. It’s mind-boggling.
  12. Something I recently discovered: when injured and/or omitted players travel interstate with the playing group they have to pay their own way, ie. flights and accommodation.
  13. A friend ran into Hibbo at the Frankston Powerhouse Fun Day this morning. She was very happy to see him in his team colours. ❤️💙 He was there with his best mate, Melksy. 🥹
  14. I think she’s fine but since we’re playing WCE why not wait until next week when we play North. Makes sense.
  15. I hope Tom Fullarton gets #4 for personal reasons: I can still wear my favourite guernsey which has #4 on the back since he’ll likely be my new second fave player just by virtue of the fact that he’s gonna cop a lot of [censored]-canning from his own fans. Sad but true. And yes, that’s the metric I use for ranking players. 😁
  16. Dunno about Tom, but I know some Demonlanders have a lot of C in them. 😏
  17. Geez, what a warm welcome. Classic Demonland 🙄
  18. Rhi is a very much-loved member of our Club. At last year’s B&F she was honoured with a special award for all she does at the Club, a thoroughly deserving recipient. The younger players in particular have greatly benefited from having her there. That was the first time I met her and I could instantly see why she is held in such high esteem. Wishing Rhi the very best for Sunday! ❤️💙🤞🏼
  19. … and as a premiership player ❤️💙
  20. This isn’t about jumper numbers but I didn’t know where else to post it. I’m guessing one day in the future there’ll be a similar streak for names such as Lachie, Bailey, Rory, Darcy, Luke, Brodie and Jack, among others. Incidentally, a few years ago I watched a match where at one point there was six St Kilda players named Jack on the ground. That’s a third of the side. Did I work this out myself? No, I didn’t. But I didn’t need to since BT mentioned it EVERY [censored] FIVE MINUTES. edit: sadly it’s also the end of us having a player with the initials JH. 😢
