Bumping this back onto the front page of topics. Hope nobody minds. Since posting it this morning we’ve had 10 more people purchase tickets, for which we are very grateful. (Thank you sincerely if you’re one of those people.) But we need way more people to attend. Therefore, since I’m not above begging, I beseech everyone to consider attending our retro party. If begging doesn’t work I'll have no choice but to initiate phase two…. nagging. I’m exceptionally good at nagging. We sit in either 22 or 23. 23 is the crapola seating (benches) by the hill. Bad area since it’s hard to see over the fence. 22 is in the stand with tiered seating which makes for good viewing. Downside being they don’t let us have our biggest flags in the stand and have even confiscated them in the past. We won’t know where we’re sitting until the day. @Nasher

This is just my opinion but the Carlton banner crew aren’t exactly warm and friendly.

I do remember that, PF. I was living in Footscray at the time and unfortunately had three cats go missing. I didn’t make it known since I didn’t wanna fuel the nasty rumours about them becoming dim sims. Turns out all three of them had found greener pastures in the form of a crazy cat lady who lived nearby. They were happy as a pig in [censored] with their 20+ “siblings.” 🤣

With respect, try telling that to the families and friends of ppl who couldn’t take it and did the unthinkable. Besides, a thick skin can’t just be magicked up outta nowhere. It’s innate so there’ll always be “thin-skinned” folks.

You’re right about that, THBT. Their cheer squad members are certainly proud and loyal. Their banner crew is full of super nice people. I chat in the race with opposition crews, almost all of whom are friendly. The Brisbane crew comprises diehard Fitzroy fans and/or the children of Fitzroy fans. There’s definitely a different vibe from the GCS and GWS ppl.

CHOOKS! Pet chooks are the solution to the world’s ills. Everyone needs a pet chook or 10. It’s a tough gig having pets so far down the food chain but totally worth it. Today my Melksy and Harmesy will be front and centre on the couch with me watching the replay. Feathered Melksy has already seen human Melksy’s amazing mark and winning goal many times on my phone but like me, she’ll gladly watch it again and again. 🐔 🟰 ❤️
