  1. I praying Oliver is there next year and Pert isn't
  2. Question still remains is he a tactical nous or brilliant player manager? I'd say neither.
  3. Which was Malthouse? Tactical nous or player manager? Underacheived at the 2 most powerful clubs in the land. Won two premiership at West Coast when they were double the size of everyone else and fluked one at Collinwood because the ball didn't sit for Milne in the drawn GF and Collingwood were better resourced to deal with the draw than St Kilda. Give me Goodwin anyday.
  4. Oliver would have stopped Bont dead in his tracks in the premiership quater anywhere.
  5. Kennedy would be a steal for a set of steak knives. His best is far better than alot on our list. Would have been great to have him this year to be honest with Oliver's hand and Petraccas internal injuries crippling us. I would take him in a heartbeat.
  6. Just wait and see how this shafts us
  7. Hopefully we get another pandemic next year and all our players are locked in a hub again
  8. They are polar opposites but i am not going to call Fritta selfish. I just don't think he is selfless and puts everything on the line for the team first.
  9. I said he is not selfless. Chasing, tackling, corelling or putting defensive pressure on would help his team mates more.
  10. Does anyone remember our mantra in 2021? Oliver was awarded the most selfless player in our drought breaking premiership year. We talk about culture and i think the core to that is, as a collective being selfless. People who don't aspire to that within the club whether the CEO or a Norm Smith medalist aren't part of the future. ANB made a career playing a selfless role and I hope he does well elsewhere. Max spends his weekends visiting young ruckman on our list demoted to the amatuers to go and show support. He had a baby with his lovely wife and takes Oliver in to live with them because he is going through a rough patch. We have others like Fritsch who is a brilliant footballer but doesn't have a selfless bone in his body. We need to get back to what made us great and that was being selfless. How to we become more selfless again?
  11. I mean a wide variety of people who had dealings with him from the markering team, to the coterie, to the sponsors. People don't like somebody who is charming to them when it suits and ignores them completely when it doesn't. I haven't heard he has done this at Melbourne, infact, i've heard employees speak highly of him but make no mistake he left a sour taste at Collingwood across a range of people and bodies he should have engaged better with
  12. Strange a leader wants to leave for culture issues when he should be driving the culture. Stranger if its previous culture issues like before he signed a long term contract. I'm not buying the BS.
  13. I say it and i said it before he came to Melbourne based on what i had heard from multiple sources within Collingwood factions
  14. Pert was divisive at Collingwood and it seems to me a magpie doesn't change its spots.
  15. I think you're barking up the wrong tree. Trac's leak to the media was staunch in his defence of Goodwin. What if it's the CEO and President he is unhappy with? Tail wagging the dog or somebody we need to listen to?
  16. Jack Viney - made me cry Oliver - next year doubters
  17. I don't think Pert and Petracca will be at the club next year. I know which one i would prefer.
  18. Tholstrup - not there yet (his decision making and reaction time isn't fast enough yet) Disco - no obvious weakness Kozzie - shouldn't have played Billings - experienced shouldn't fumble Viney - legend of club
  19. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and you are not a random who is posting to troll. This is a stinka though. 10 coaches and 3 brownlow votes for Viney today
  20. If the trade i have heard is on the table @picket fence wont he happy. There wont be room for another forward and it's not coming from West Coast. For the record i want to keep Trac at all costs
  21. When Clarry makes one of the great comebacks of all time, get's a standing ovation from the crowd when he comes to the bench Breaks his hand the following week and as good as he is can't win the following week with one arm tied around his back. His season never recovers. I don't know if you can re-do surgery on a hand but if you can I know back Clarry
  22. Everyone wishes ANB the best. His partner isn't the first in AFL history to have a baby away from home. I have had a baby who baracks for Melbourne, loves life and just old enough to hate Maynard and Collingwood. It doesn't make me more or less qualified to be concerned about ANB requesting a trade.
  23. I can cop Petracca and Oliver noise. But this is different. We have a problem.
  24. Lever, Sparrow and Bowey all premiership players would be where i'd be looking for the right trade. All have strengths and apeal for other clubs but none are taking us forward.
