Feels closer to a scene from Demon Attack * than some of the club’s more recent work. *This is by no means an insult to Demon Attack. Like Dumb & Dumber it was genius, but you just can’t recreate classics.

Maybe my heart strings got tugged a bit too hard one night in September last yr but this didn’t really do much to inspire/excite me…

Not quite clear on our backup plan for the wing if he leaves (or is injured this year). Unless he shows drastic improvement it isn’t Baker. Rosman a project player so no guarantee there. Do you start grooming someone like Rivers for the role?

TRAINING: Friday 4th February 2022
The Jackson FIX replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thanks to those who attend/write up on training. HUGELY valued. for those who attend regularly, what role have they been training Weid in? Stay at home/bring the ball to ground type or higher Up the ground? He seemed to look more comfortable getting his hands on the ball further up the ground but I just don’t think that is what we need from him. -
Form-based selection. You’re only as good as your last game 😏

This is the problem - it will rip through Perth, the only way to avoid that is keeping the joint shut which appears to be his strategy. A lot of players through the league have already contracted the virus so the hope is by the time the season comes we don’t have the disruption that is happening in the nba. Perth opens up in March both Freo & WC will have had zero players get the virus so you can just see their seasons are going to be far more at risk than anyone else’s. Get them into VIC now I say.

McGowan has delayed WA opening back up. Delaying the inevitable over there. I’d say Freo/WC would be getting nervous about having to shift interstate for a period…

It’s hardly a passion-project. He is employed by ESPN. -

As recently as 12 months ago he was still banging on about the fact he was miffed Melbourne didn’t call out Tom Green’s name on the night. HE WASNT AVAILABLE TO US YOU TALENTLESS CLOWN. -

Possible Knightmare has never actually seen him play… wouldn’t be the first time he’s had an opinion on a player he’s never seen -

The young fella Turner I think -
I predict we will read “player x has entered health and safety protocols” a lot this yr. All you hear at the moment from nba journos…. (Oh and “the 76ers front office are no closer to brokering a trade for Ben Simmons””)

2018 Player Reviews: # 27 Harley Balic
The Jackson FIX replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
From Bennell/Harmes Instagram it appears Harley Balic has passed away. Devastatingly sad. -
I love your optimism but if Steven May’s Instagram off-season is anything to go by I’m less convinced about our social discipline

Whilst his preparation/professionalism is well documented on ‘land, there are signals he isn’t the most mature of fellas yet (club opposing him moving out from the Brayshaw residence an example). Maybe he is being advised to not rush into a long term deal halfway across the country when he perhaps isn’t clear on what he wants long term? He is one of few who have the luxury to grow up a little more and then make a decision

TRAINING: Monday 6th December 2021
The Jackson FIX replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
This may well have been covered in another thread but why is Jacko staying in Perf but Rivers is back for training? Pretty sure I saw a photo on Instagram of Kozzie in Hamilton Island - why isn’t he back? -
I have it on good authority he was drinking heavily that day and wasn’t himself

I’m looking at the AFL site and I can’t see us with another pick tonight? https://www.afl.com.au/news/689378/updated-draft-order-every-club-s-picks-ahead-of-night-two How do we get woewodin? -
Cal > Knightmare. Knightmare spent 2 years bleeting that Melbourne made a big mistake not drafting Tom Green in ‘19 (simply because he didn’t rate Jackson as highly as others did). Appears to have quietened on that front since The Grand Final. edit: he also failed to acknowledge the fact that Melbourne couldn’t have landed Green even if they wanted to

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
The Jackson FIX replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes. We’ve hardly had a flawless history at the draft. We passed on Dustin Martin twice.
