  1. Van Debut-yen! Very excited for the Dutchman. Kick some sausage rolls son.
  2. Surely if they are called the Redlegs and have the same song they must’ve copied MFC? I actually am unclear on the story with Port Adelaide on whether they copied Collingwood or if the name/colours are just a coincidence
  3. Who would you barrack for if it came to pass? I’ve asked a few Demon-supporting mates from Tassie what they would do if that team comes in and the general response seems to be ‘would love a Tassie team to come into the comp but would still barrack for the Dees’
  4. I also twitch a bit when I see good players linked with clubs other than mine but remember this; We’ve recently won a premiership and we’ve only just fallen out of the top 4 for the first time in something like 2 years. It appears to me that Tim Lamb and co. know what they are doing. We are also the club that doesn’t leak so how do you know we’re not in the conversation with King?
  5. Fingers crossed Hawthorn turn their 3 picks into Gysberts, Morton and Blease types. Heck, throw in a 4th and hope they get a Strauss in there too. That would bring me a lot of happiness.
  6. With a bad leg, a stubby in one hand and a boxing glove on the other, it was proving difficult to drive anyway.
  7. Hope we lay into Ashcroft a bit early and Dorko has to be pretend-tough again.
  8. Did Pig travel up with them? I see he isn’t on the emergency list but I do worry a bit about what the plan is to shut down Charlie if he gets off the leash. Melk was great as sub last week but I wonder if Pig is a better choice tonight (assuming Tommo plays for May and Pig is elevated onto emergency list).
  9. Haven’t quite figured out how to post an image on this site to the size limits but photo of Kalani at the Gabba today with Clarry and Trac. Looks easily 200cm already.
  10. 100%. Intel or not, it is round 2 - it just doesn’t make sense to rush a 30+ bloke back after a very recent calf injury (especially after his replacement played so well last week)
  11. Feels like he has played a LOT more. Exciting future ahead for this bloke.
  12. I understand it to be fact (from someone close enough to it all to trust). Having said that, he is on the plane so either someone is playing games with me or the club is playing games with Brisbane! We’ll know in about 28 hours.
  13. May won’t be playing.
  14. My other immediate thought on this article was that it was more than a little rich for a Hawthorn supporter to ‘take the high ground’ on sticking fat with an under-performing side. Their adult-supporter base was built on late 80s/90s success !
  15. The only thing that could have possibly made this article better was if the dorks were still playing at cold and windy Waverley and after another drubbing instead of catching a train home he had to trudge out to his car, only to be stuck in the boggy carpark for 6 hours listening to match reviews on the radio
  16. This thread is fun but I’d happily be your bookie if you think North will beat Freo this wk.
  17. Hope there isn’t anything more to this. He’s of huge value defensively/spacing-wise as the ball comes in, which blokes like Ben Brown benefit from.
  18. The more knowledgeable journalists are objectively looking at the action (intent/force/height) and are landing roughly where it netted out. The ‘special comments’ types are up in arms and want 17 weeks.
  19. He is now back for the game against Wet Toast in Perf… wonder if they’ll let him take a bit of time away and meet us in Perf for that game? Whilst not because of a suspension, I recall them letting LJ take quite a few trips back home during the season.
  20. Prefer to cop the two quietly rather than appeal. It’ll become a media circus (even more than it currently is) upon appeal and I just can’t see the AFL letting him get away with 1 week.
  21. There is a rumour his mum has asked Luke to ask his agent to ask the club if Jackson can sit out away games to enable him to spend 100% or his time in Perf.
  22. Mine came within the hour so my guess is you have it now. If not, something has gone wrong!
  23. And yet I would struggle to describe what he looks like
  24. Not known for his quality disposal and he was vying for a spot in a midfield that had widely-acknowledged ‘forward connection’ issues. The dogs are perhaps less worried about ‘how’ he gets it in there (because they’ve got so many marking options)? Hope it works out for him - from round 2 onwards, of course.
  25. Feel we dodged a bullet. Haven’t seen his stats tonight but felt he didn’t get heaps of it and had little influence on the game. Even last year when he was racking up possessions it didn’t feel like he was hurting sides.
